The knife feels beautifully made and nice to use. Very sharp as would be expected. The knife comes in a lovely presentation case and would be ideal as a gift. I used to own a set of Gustav Emil knives, and these are defiantly of the same quality. I will be purchasing more from this range. Absolutely worth the money.

Quality knife that cuts through the crustiest loaves with ease. It has a hefty rigid well finished blade with a comfortable handle. The supplied sheath is a snug fit and will protect the knife in the drawer (and your fingers!) This is by no means a delicate knife, so maybe not suitable for making sandwiches as another reviewer has complained about, but definitely the right one to cut the slices from the loaf. I would suggest a 'Tomato Knife' for assembling the sandwich. This is my first Dalstrong knife and I am very impressed with the quality. The way it was presented in the box suggests a knife costing an awful lot more. I will certainly be checking out other Dalstrong knives when I want to augment or replace knives in my collection. If you want a solid bread knife that will last at a good price then this is it.

You buy a knife set for £40-£50, you get it home and think the first time you use it 'wow, they're sharp, must be good' then you buy a set of Dalstrong knives, you appreciate the way they're presented in their box but it's not until you use them for the first time that you suddenly realise and say to yourself "Holy crap", put the knife down and go and investigate on YouTube how to use a knife properly for fear of losing a finger (You probably wouldn't even feel it) and suddenly understand what a real knife is, they really are that good. Trust me when I say these knives are the real thing and if looked after will probably last you the rest of your life, do yourself a favour, press buy it now, you won't be sorry!

Items received on time and in good order.Have used two of the items,no complaints,exactly the quality I had hoped for.As per other reviews,you can see and feel the quality,a cut above the rest(pardon the pun).They are worth the money and will prove to be exceptional value over time.

Good quality lovely looking knife which is long enough to cut my large home baked loaves. While it cuts OK, it’s not as sharp as my shorter Zwilling and Wustoff bread knives. My friend got a 14” cheapo knife for £15 from Costco which cuts better than all of them :-(

This is a fabulous bread knife in my opinion, it slices beautifully with minimal crumb. Weight was a surprise but I have found it perfect as no physical pressure is required. Excellent engineering. Very happy.

Certains avis négatifs sont incompréhensibles. Boulanger-pâtissier professionnel depuis près de 40 ans, je n'avais jamais eu l'occasion de posséder un couteau à pain d'une telle qualité. High quality bread knife

I thought this knife was too expensive for a bread knife but I went ahead and took a chance. I’m so glad I did! I make a lot of homemade bread and having to slice it all was such a chore and so many crumbs it was ridiculous! This knife slices right thru without hardly a crumb! It is a pleasure to use and now I actually enjoy slicing my bread! Definitely the BEST bread knife ever!! It is well worth the money!

I was looking for a long bread knife as my bread maker cooks rather large loaves of bread. This knife copes with the size loaf and also copes with cutting larger cakes and cutting them for layering. Great packaging and great value for money. Will be buying more Dalstrong knives as they are needed.

This knife is awesome in looks and performance. The bread knife cuts like a razor. I used it for the first time to cut a Hungarian raisin/walnut loaf and the design of the bread after being cut was intact and sharply delineated from the crust to the center of the bread. The knife comes beautifully packaged with a well-detailed booklet on use and care (something you no longer get with many products). I appreciate the fact that this company cares about its customer long after the purchase of their product as evidenced by their guarantee and pride in what they are selling. I like the heavy duty sheath in which to store the knife as it is razor sharp and this is a good safety feature. Thank you for providing such a wonderful product and backing it up with your caring.
