Its very rare in days like these, to receive an item totally as you expect when all you've seen online is a single picture of it. The photos Amazon use do not do this item justice, with its shiny black coating and rounded lip making any grown man run to the lavatory with it. The mesh is black too and small enough to not allow any crap you throw in the bin escape, unless you thought you found a cheap metal bucket, or unless you work in cocktail stick factory as im sure they would easily escape. The stunner is that this bin is sure to withstand multiple paper balls being slamdunked from the other side of an office, even with its gaping maw at the top. I can only assume Q-Connect means quick connect, as it was matched up with a bin bag and various junk within seconds. No longer must I wade in rubbish to get to my desk.

2 things you can do with a bin without voiding the warranty - fill it up and empty it. This bin is great for filling up, but is liable to dent if you pick it up incorrectly when fully loaded - the mesh sides are not strong - not strong at all. Weak, in fact. Also, not a great bin for anything granular, grainy or particulate. Or fluid, obviously. On account of the mesh sides. Don't put your beard trimmings in this bin and expect them to tip out without falling through the sides and onto your bedroom carpet. Only a fool would make this mistake.

Stylish and cheap. I had one of these before but a silver one. After using it though it became quite dirty and didn't look too cool any more. The black ones are much better in my opinion and also match the rest of my office furniture (chair and desk are black, and I also have the Q Connect mesh pencil pot and in/out trays) It's sturdy material and seems well built, no sharp edges etc.

you know, i've been in the trash throwing industry for a while now and no bin has given more bang for the buck handed over the counter than the Q Connect Mesh Waste Basket - Black. I've tried all sorts but this cuts it really well, I can see all of the trash I've thrown in (just incase i've thrown in something important by accident!) AND it has a heavy enough base to remain upright despite my attempts at bowling it over while throwing in trash. 10/10 WOULD THROW RUBBISH INTO AGAIN.

Black was the colour I wanted but many bins seem to be quite small. It was hard to work out from the measurements if this would be big enough, but I'm happy to report that this is the perfect size. very happy with the purchase.

There is something rather classy about these ordinary waste baskets! Perhaps it's the meshed matt black coating that really stands out well in most of the white-walled rooms of my home. I bought four all told, and don't regret it. They're sturdy & rigid, and just look nice! The only decision one has to make is if you intend to use bin-liners. I do, in order to retain the cleanliness of the basket; but the downside is that a bin-liner does ruin the aesthetic somewhat. So you may prefer to go without. They're easy to clean anyway. 5/5
