Genuine product
Best out there at a reasonable price. I much prefer this for that genuine authentic taste.

Have not used it yet
I think it’s a good chilli paste ideal for what it’s intended for have not tried yet but am looking forward to cooking with it.

Salt salt and more.salt
Way too salty. Nice chilli and citrus - but seriously salty. I can't imagine ever opening the jar again as I never put that much salt in anything. Would ruin any dish you were making - unless you love salt.Shame - because the other flavours I imagine would.make a lovely thing

Really good.
I ordered this for a Nigella recipe I wanted to try and I was very pleased with the flavour it gave the dish. Yet to try it with other recipes /dishes but this is an item you won`t find on the High Street. I`ve tried! Frankly, I would come straight to a repeat order next time as it arrived promptly, was well wrapped, easy to open and full of flavour. The price was fair too.

Cheap but very salty
The product is reasonably spicy but unfortunately quite salty so I'd advise to only use small amounts.

My go-to source for chilli heat
I bought one of these large jars a year ago on impulse, remembering liking Lucullus Sambal Oelek in the small glass jars when I was a kid growing up on the continent. However, I haven't seen it in any shops since I came to London in the early 1990s, so when I happened to see it on the Amazon website I just had to buy it. Was a bit hesitant to go for this very big jar, but as the price difference between this and the small jars was so little, I decided to go for the large one.One year later it's still good - I keep it in my very cold fridge (2 degrees C) and it also contains sodium benzoate as preservative - and I increasingly use it whenever a recipe calls for dried chili flakes, fresh chilli peppers, Tabasco or Chinese chilli sauce. I also sometimes put it on a sandwich or eat a teaspoon of it without anything else.It has a nice but not too overpowering heat, tasting of chillies with a little bit of vinegar - sort of like Tabasco with bits in it.I now have about 20% left, so I'll soon order another jar.
