Tweezerman Stainless Steel Toenail Clipper

These are excellent toenail clippers. I actually use them on my finger nails as well. I find them the right size for both. When I was little I always used to see my Dad cut his fingernails regularly with clippers like this, and now I do the same. They're sturdy and the blade is sharp, I've had mine for a few years now and they're still going strong. The curve on the blade is just right for the curve of my nails. With finger nails it takes a few more cuts but you get used to it. They make your nails look smart and presentable. I would say that these aren't suitable for babies or very young children, you can buy special child ones to cut your children's nails. Otherwise these nail clippers get 5 stars from me and I'm sure other's will find them as good as I do.

Having a thing for straight edged clippers as opposed to the curved ones means that it isn't as simple as swinging by your local chemist when in search of a new device for trimming your talons. My last clipper was doing fine and dandy until I couldn't find my wire cutters one night whilst in the midst of Pi prototyping and seeing as I'd used them for that purpose I decided I may as well invest in a new set and thats when the Tweezerman entered the stage left. As usual it arrived the next day thanks to that sweet, sweet Prime goodness and I gave them a thorough inspection. The cutting edge is razor sharp, the spring mechanism is firm and tight and overall this is a high quality product that should do its job for years to come. Now, I know a lot of reviews on here are complaining about the opening size and I can't help but wonder quite how thick their nails are as the standard opening is nearly 3.5mm (see attached picture) which is more than enough in my case so feel free to measure up before laying down the cash. Overall this is a great product which is slightly expensive in my opinion when contrasted to the competition but then again you don't buy nail trimmers every week do you so I suppose it represents good value for money. Much larger than I thought it would be (which is a bonus), they seem to be very well built. They are made from very thick steel and they are very sharp. One thing to note is that the cutting edge is straight, where as the finger nail clippers have a curved edge that's how theses differ. They feel as if they would last many years. They cut the nail cleanly. They are very strong and a lot of force can be applied to the lever with out it bending. Highly recomend.

I've only had these a few weeks so can't comment on how long lasting they are yet. I bought them because all the clippers I own get loose somehow so they don't clip properly and just tear the nails. I wanted better quality ones which would last and these seemed to fit the bill from reading reviews. They are heavier and seem better made than the others I've owned. They are still just basic nail clippers, nothing different in the design, just a bit sturdier and heavier made. They cut nicely and I hope the sturdiness means they will last a very long time and be worth the small extra cost. I have Tweezerman tweezers which are a lot better than any others I've owned, so I know they have a track record of getting these basic products right.

First time buying straight cut clippers. Like most other clippers, it only covers half my toe nail. But it won't warp at the ends, preventing me from cutting too deep and risking in-grown issues. The edge is both thick and sharp so I would expect them to last a while. They have been able to cut the heftiest of my nails effectively even when I inevitably forget (cba) to soak them first.

Absolutely nothing wrong with these at all, do exactly what you would expect from Tweezerman. The only reason I have rated 3 stars is because there is absolutely no reason to spend so much on these tweezers, they are 100% identical in performance, weight, size to my unbranded ones i bought 2 years ago (I only bought new ones because I lost them)

These straight edged clippers are ideal for cutting the big toe nail. Before I had trouble with curved edged clippers cutting at one end into part of the nail than you didn't mean to cut - straight edged solves that problem. They seem to be well built and work well.

Amazon devrait préciser que l'emballage indique "Coupe-Ongles d'orteils", gamme "Professional" de TWEEZERMAN. Ceci explique que ce coupe-ongles coupe sans effort les ongles épais des pieds, avec une coupe nette. Il s'agit d'un coupe-ongles assez gros (longueur*hauteur 80*16 mm, contre 60*7 mm pour l'excellent couple-ongles extra-plat de Nogent, ce dernier étant à la peine sur les ongles de pied un peu épais). Il est réalisé en acier inox très épais (1,8 mm). Ce coupe-ongles ne possède ni lime ni cure-ongle. En conclusion, coupe-ongles non compact, très efficace pour tous ongles y compris ongles de pied épais, article de qualité à conseiller.

I use these for my fingernails, just because the curved ones always leave my corners too short. They work a treat, cutting my unruly thick fingernails no problem. Great value on lifetime quality clippers.
