Pioneer FH-X840DAB Next Generation CD Tuner with Bluetooth, USB, DAB/DAB+ and Spotify

So pleased with this head unit. I had installed this into my Jeep Grand Cherokee, so easy. The DAB reception is superb, the sound quality clear and crisp with a great bass and plenty power. The BT phone connection works perfectly as does the Spotify app from my mobile. I read that someone said the illumination was distracting because it keeps changing colour, this can easily be fixed through settings, you can also change colour of the text info from the button illumination colour, superb. highly recommend this, well worth the money.

Glad to see the day of mech-less car head units hasn't stopped this being produced. Great value for money. Sensitive DAB and FM (I used a DAB aerial splitter which works a treat), clear radio/CD text display, simple connectivity for Bluetooth phone and audio. Great audio quality and an easy install. My only reservation is the Spotify integration which seems unnecessary and over-complicated in this day of simplistic audio connectivity over Bluetooth.

Upgraded from a Pioneer non-DAB (FH-X270BT) - so swapping over was a doddle (same wiring harness. The AM/FM aerial connected up normally, theres's a 2nd DAB aerial connector and I ordered a Windscreen aerial (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01DZW2Y3U) - which was easy to fit by removing the A-Pillar. So far reception has been great. The rest of the features are similar to my outgoing unit so no real learning curve. Quality of the DAB stations like TalkSport is way better than the MW/AM equivalent. One star off as by default the unit's lights flash and change colour which is a stupid distraction to put in a car. Old unit was the same - daft and dangerous. Can be turned off in settings.

I bought this to replace my C-Max radio. Easy to fit and set up with a separate adapter facia. Sound is better than I thought it would be, given that I still have the standard speakers. iPhone connection is easy and hands free calling is clear. Also by downloading the pioneer app it can be controlled via the phone. Other people have commented on not being able to stop the colours scrolling on the display. This is easy to stop and also managed to match my instrument panel lights. Definitely recommend this as a replacement head unit.

Got this stereo on sale for around £100. Great price for a great product. I really like customization, as you will see in a pic I managed to find the right colour to match the dashboard colour on my Mazda 2. Installation was easy. However, there was only one concern when I received the item. The box it came in was not sealed nor was there any packaging at all. I collected this stereo from my local Doddle collection point. And I was not really impressed with that. No amazon wrap nor any sort of protection. Also something to bare in mind that it does not come with a remote control nor DAB anthena. These will cost you extra £30ish. Otherwise, great stereo.

Revived early which was grate but should of stated that you need to get a dab antenna when you buy. As we've received the stereo but would of been great to been able to use it straight away but we can't. So a little disappointed.

Great stereo, looks good, functions well, seems to not lose signal like most dab's I've used before.

Does not fit the car I found the better stereo come with which is a DVD player for the same price still It's box with with the plastic Steel seal on it

Por fin, despues de mil autoradios, uno que cumple bien con el RDS. Muchos equipos sencillos llevan RDS pero solo para indicar las emisoras por el nombre. El AF (frecuencia automatica) esta pero no funciona bien. En cambio, esta radio Pioneer si funciona, perfectamente. Sin duda un gran equipo para FM rds, y ademas lleva DAB aunque en mi zona no hay estas emisoras y no he podido ver su funcionamiento. El CD o el USB sin problemas, y el manos libres muy bien, buen sonido y sin eco. El Bluetooth perfecto para spotify, y qualquier app que tengais de musica o radio. Suena genial desde cualquier fuente de sonido.

Essendo il primo recensore del prodotto, non posso per adesso esprimere moltissimo se non che: Arrivato puntualissimo come previsto il giorno dopo l'acquisto con Prime. Un curato e robusto imballo, ben protetto e ottima confezione. (Dato il prezzo non proprio economico) ma motivato dal fatto che, rifornito all'interno della scatola,si trovano un cavo adattatore e il microfono Bluetooth. ( per le chiamate in viva ore). L'autoradio in questione pare di buonissima fattura costruttiva e materiale. Lo si nota dalla qualità del metallo specie, che mi ha colpito...pare una "scatola" bella solida ed è ben costruita nel retro della stessa ove si trovano tutti i vari e molti attacchi vari...ATTENZIONE: l'autoradio è fornita di radio DAB +,ma trovo davvero contraddittorio, il fatto che all'interno della confezione NON ci sia il CAVO Dell'ANTENNA ESTERNA DAB, da installare all'interno del veicolo. Cmq nulla di così grave, io lo trovata subito nei correlati in Amazon a circa 24 euro... Per tutti gli altri dettagli tecnici e altro, riguardo le potenzialità del prodotto, ancora non posso recensire nulla...per essere sicuro di avere una buona istallazione domani vado dall elettrauto... Credo sia davvero un ottimo prodotto e che a livello di suono e intrattenimento, molto probabilmente non deluderà! Dimenticavo!! Una cosa importante: se avete intenzione di montate uno stereo due din di questo genere o di altre marche, prendete bene le misure e valutate lo spazio disponibile nella vostra plancia. RIGUARDO LE MISURE CITATE SOPRA NELLA SCHEDA TECNICA, PERSONALMENTE HO FORTI DUBBI CHE CORRISPONDANO REALMENTE ALL'AUTORADIO IN QUESTIONE! Credo nessuna misura corrisponda a quello che hanno menzionato... Fisicamente l'apparecchio appare decisamente più grande e profondo rispetto le misure date sulla scheda...

Le but était surtout d'avoir un main libre performant pour le téléphone, et c'est parfait. Le reste, mp3, flac, radio FM, fonctionne très bien, sans surprise. Passée la phase de réglage initiale, l'utilisation est très simple, même l'accès au répertoire du téléphone se fait facilement de manière intuitive, en laissant le téléphone dans la sacoche.

Ho installato con un amico (entrambi non esperti) in un Suzuki Jimny in un paio d' ore, molto tempo l'abbiamo speso nei cavi perché montava lo spinotto della radio della casa che abbiamo dovuto togliere per mettere quello nella scatola. Il DAB funziona benissimo ed ha un ottima ricezione. Anche l'FM ha un ottima ricezione, molto migliore rispetto alla radio che montava la casa, con la stessa antenna. Scaricando l'App sul mio I-phon 7 la si puo' gestire interamente da telefono, soprattutto se lo colleghi alla porta USB della Radio. Si puo' scegliere anche i colori della Radio e del display, e modificarne l'intensità, automaticamente si puo' scegliere si farla intensificare dalla Radio stessa in orari prestabiliti (giorno/notte). Collegandola all'USB interagisce benissimo con le APP di Google Map, Waze, Spotify, podcast, e tutta la musica che hai in libreria. Per adesso avendola montata giusto ieri pomeriggio è tutto, ora leggerò le istruzioni e guardo che cosa puo' fare in più a questo. Direi che è un eccellente prodotto per qualità/prezzo, la consiglierei a chiunque!
