SPIOLERS _ desperate Housewives is a modern classic. it is also an unusual series in that it's weakest part is in the middle with a powerhouse start and finish. Men and women enjoyed this series equally and the variety of characters made it a dangerous street to live on. Guest stars may have pumped the ratings but Bree, Susan Lynette and Gabrielle were the stars of the show. I liked and disliked all the women at some stage but my dislike of Susan Delfino never lifted. Her dependency, whining and all-round neediness left me hoping it was her that the producers would kill when news came of a 'wife' being killed off. unfortunately it was Edie who despite being a horrible character had depth and independence and a blossoming friendship. Lynette was a strong wife who excelled with husband Tom. They needed to split but balance was restored on their renewed marriage. Gabrielle who ties for my favourite female character, and her stormy marriage to Carlos was a highlight. Her sacrifice after he was hurt showed what a good actress Eva is.. I could have done without her children though - terrible actresses. Finally Bree, possibly my favourite wife depending on the episode. Her man marriages and addictions made her the most rounded character who despite failing many times gets her happy ending. a great series with some lulls - if you didn't catch it first time round do yourself a favour & see it now

This truly is a great bargain!! The DVDs are definitely worth the money, I was not disappointed by them. Unfortunately the description of the product is not the best. I actually quite like the fact, that the DVDs have different designs, because they look really pretty even outside the box. I also do not have a problem with the fact, that one DVD has a picture on it, while the others are grey. If you are picky about the design etc. you should probably get another version (which costs at least twice as much as this one). But for this money you can't beat it!

An old friend told me to watch this show.I was reluctant as I was a Sex And The City fan and thought nothing could compare.I took season 1 away with me to Japan and watched all 24 episodes in one go absolutely hooked. It has to best the best show ever screened on tv in my opinion. People say seasons 1 and 2 were the best but all seasons were just compelling and fantastic.I hate the negative remarks that the show lost its way,for me Desperate Housewives will always play a big part in my life and I was devastated when the show ended cause you really get to know the lives of these 4 special women and you relate to them,you grow old with them. I am now watching the show again from the start and in doing so you see bits you may have missed first time round. You just have to get this box set. As my friend told me last week when I bought it for her birthday,when we are old and have lost our memory we can watch the show again and it will be like the first time seeing it!!!!! ENJOY

I cannot recommend this box set enough- it is THE best series in the world!!! There isn't a single second of boredom in the whole series. I just love, love, love Desperate Housewives. I was so sad to reach the end. I just wish I could eliminate the memory from my brain and watch it all over again immediately! But, I'll wait a couple of years and just watch it again anyway... Previous to buying this boxset, I already owned the first three series (which I had watched a few times). It was beyond brilliant to finally get to watch them ALL! And, at just £42.74 TOT (that's inc P&P), it was an absolute bargain. Just hours and hours of endless Desperate Housewives bliss!!! It took me just under two months to watch the lot. God, I love this show. I want to marry it. Sigh.

Heel veel dvd’s die niet werken.

mir diese Box zuzulegen . Nach den ganzen teils negativen Rezensionen zu dieser Box, dass sich die DVDs nicht abspielen lassen, dachte ich mir, ich kann es ja auf einen Versuch ankommen lassen. Sollten die Discs nicht funktionieren, schicke ich sie wieder zurück . Nach einer schnellen Lieferung war die Box da, & ich muss sagen, mir gefällt die Aufmachung wirklich supergut. Sehr stabiler Karton in Holzoptik. Meine Box war in einwandfreiem Zustand, keine eingedrückten Ecken & Kanten. Dann kam für mich das Wichtigste überhaupt: Laufen die Discs ? Ich schaue immer auf meiner PS3 & legte somit mit gemischten Gefühlen die erste DVD in den Player. Die DVD lief an, am Anfang, als sie anlief , gab es ein lautes Rauschen & ich dachte nur :Toll! Geht also zurück. Aber sobald sie angelaufen war, gab es kein Rauschen mehr, & die Disc lief einwandfrei! Habe dann alle DVDs mal kurz abgespielt. Immer nur das kurze Rauschen & danach problemloses Abspielen. Habe jetzt die Box fast durch, (bin bei der letzten Staffel), & kann von mir nur sagen, das ich keinerlei Probleme mit den DVDs hatte. Bei 1-2 DVDs war das Rauschen mal ein bisschen lauter, bewegte sich aber in dem Rahmen, dass man es nicht als störend empfinden würde . Ich kann nur sagen, das ich froh bin, es riskiert zu haben, mir diese Box zu bestellen & kann allen Unentschlossenen nur raten, die damit hadern :bestellen oder nicht bestellen? Probiert es aus!

Au vu de certains commentaires, coffret de mauvaise qualité, Dvd pas en français, etc... J'ai longtemps hésité, mais tellement Fan de cette série, j'ai fini par commander. Vraiment satisfaite, très beau coffret, les Dvd ne sont pas abîmés, les saisons sont proposées dans différentes langues. Un vrai plaisir de partager la vie des DESESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, j'adore cette série!!! La vie de tous les jours, les voisins, les amours, les enfants, des crimes, et des rebondissements inattendus. On s'attache aux personnages, on passe vraiment un bon moment de détente.

Si eres seguidor de esta fantástica serie y quieres conseguirla compra este pack de UK. Todas las temporadas, excepto la 1ª, tienen audio y subtítulos en español (de hecho, son los mismos discos que se incluían en la edición española, muchísimo más cara y ya descatalogada). La 2ª temporada tanto en la caja contenedora como en la propia carátula de plástico no tiene acreditados más idiomas además del inglés, pero viene en español (comprobado). Y la 1ª sólo en inglés (y en noruego, a quien le interese...). Como ya han dicho en otros comentarios, lo mejor es completar el pack con la edición italiana de la 1ª temporada, con audio y subtítulos en español, tambíén más barata que la española. Así tendrás la serie completa con audio y subtítulos en español, nueva y a un precio más que razonable.

Pack 10 para los fans de la serie. La primera temporada no incluye la opción de idioma español, para aquellos que quieran verla en versión no original.
