Great toy for all ages - the box serves a storage container and as a toy!
Smart Max - SMX 907 - BUILD XXL- 70PCS:I had a Smart Max Set before since all ages from babies up love it. I don't know why the age rating is so high since it seems large enough in order not to cause any small parts problems. I particularly loved the box that has dents for the spheres and can thus be used as a base for playing. Both the box itself and the lid are useful. Besides, it allows for great storage.

Great quality product
This is played with by children between ages of 18 months and 5 years at the moment and all enjoy it. The older ones enjoy creating the shapes from the example book and little ones spend a long time making up their own. It is full of really good size pieces and is great for young and older children. Really strong magnets and good for colour recognition.

Lots of fun and creative opportunities
My daughter loves this construction set, that said so do I and lots of our family and friends who have had a play. Lots of different things to be built and very sturdy. All the magnets work well and children enjoy exploring which bits attract and which repel. Will definitely be buying more sets to add to this one.

Unsure about age suitability
First order received was badly damaged (plastic storage box was smashed on the bottom & incredibly dirty). Second order also damaged but not to the extent of the first- needed it for Christmas so kept it. This was an expensive gift for my 13 month old & I assumed it would be safe as it stated 1+ on the box but then the leaflet inside, and the info on Amazon, stated 3+. I think the manufacturer & sellers need to be clearer about the age suitability for safety as magnets can be dangerous and, as a parent, I want to make sure this product is safe for 1+. The magnets are very heavy and as young children like to throw things this doesn’t seem a suitable toy for under 2s. Will be saving it until our little one is older.
