Beautiful saucepan. I did not experience the problems other reviewers reported. Arrived in perfect condition.I was expecting cast iron enamel to be heavy, but I must say this pan is extremely heavy to the point of overkill. I will still keep it but no way would I consider a skillet by this manufacturer. Update: I decided to return the pan due to the weight. I am concerned that it could pose a safety risk of spilling contents onto self when transferring to the sink or onto serving dish.

No shipping damage, looks great

I did not expect this pot to be so HEAVY. [I have cast iron frying pans but this outdoes those by a long shot.] It's a great in-between sized pot that is pretty and cleans easily. Most importantly, it cooks well. All that iron in it really concentrates the heat from the gas flame. And, I can turn it off sooner in the cooking process (saving money and nutrients) while the cover maintains the temperature for a long time, (similar to a slow-cooker.) Even though I bought it on sale, I thought it was kind of pricey. The sting of the price has faded as I have used the pot.

This pot is well made and the perfect size for sauces, rice or oatmeal preparation. The one thing that could be improved is the fit of the lid; it needs a little more of a rim to hold it in place.

I love this small pot for its color and function. I love the size, the color, and that it comes with a well fitting/functioning lid.Soon after purchase, a small chip appeared on the top of the enamel (where it meets the cast iron edge at the top). To me, it’s deeply not a big deal so it still gets 4 stars from me. I do wonder about how long it will last given that, though. For the price, I’m very happy with it.

I have nothing negative to say about the product at this time. After some use I'll update my review. It's definitely big enough as a sauce pot. lol 6 inches is definitely big enough. It's cast iron so it's weighty. My daughter was surprised about how filthy it is. It's covered in saw dust and has grease in it. But it looks like for manufacturing and not like it was pre used.I personally don't care because I was everything I get first. Speaking of which, it will rust if your not careful. It's iron after all.

This is my second purchase of Lava cookware and so far I'm impressed. My first Lava fry pan is over a year old now and after heavy use it looks like new. This small sauce pan has the same wonderful finish as that fry pan. And it is a cast iron pan, very heavy for it's size, and it heats up evenly across its cooking surface like all cast iron cookware. I was looking for a cast iron sauce pan with a ceramic coating, well the Lava pans are not ceramic, but the white smooth surface on the inside has not chipped or stained on the fry pan that I've used practically everyday for a year now. It is a surface that is very easy to clean, I just use some hot soapy water and a bristle brush (plastic bristles) and it comes clean with little effort. I do use plastic spatulas or rubber spoons on these, not metal, which probably helps keep them looking like they are brand new. To top it off, these pans are very affordable. I really appreciate that. I am planning to give a couple of these this year for X-Mas.

Received this 1.5 qt in blue last week and have used it 4 or 5 times. Great looking pot. My first Lava brand cast iron purchase. I bought the blue and it really is a true dark blue shading to a bluish black toward the bottom. Well done. Cleanup was a breeze too. Good purchase and great price.
