I have ordered this baclava box several times in recent years. It sweetened the days of my daughter and her friends, as well as her laboratory colleagues. Everyone has been delighted. I would order anytime!

These are nice trays. I wish they did ones of just single types. Sadly they have jumped quite alot in price recently and not sure the value is there anymore. But tasty.

I ordered by mistake thought of giving it a chance though. The fingers were very nice but everything else was not fresh. I only ate the fingers and tried the rest slightly. Semolina was the worst in terms of freshness but a pleasant surprise to exist in the packet. Syrup content is OK like it has to be. Not sure why some people complain. Syrup was perfect and kept them moisturised just enough which is extremely hard to achieve especially in packaged baklava that has to stay for a long time. It's also good as a gift. Could do with some more pistachio. Was it even half as the best baklava you can find ? Definitely not. But what would you expect from a product that has to be packaged and stay for long enough on a shelf to be purchased. Technically they did the best they could for what was required. Nuts were also correct. It's an authentic product. Also, when reading reviews about products like baklava one needs to consider the person's background. It's a local sweet that has certain requirements. People might complain about it being too dry or too moist but never made baklava themselves at home, or had their families made it at home. No need for pettiness. It's ok.

Ordered this thinking it must be good given the high price and the reviews. Wow - was so disappointed. This is the worst tasting baklava I've ever had in my entire life. It just has NO flavour at all - literally just oil and sugar. Just awful. It looks like the picture but tastes rubbish. For the price it's ludicrously bad. The normal supermarket baklava is a million times tastier and better than this. I normally buy the Dina Baklava brand and can often pick up a box of that for one sixth the price of this box. I assumed this Persis one would blow that one out of the water but it's just awful - no flavour at all. I looked at the ingredients and was shocked to find they don't even use any butter at all. No wonder it has no flavour - they use cheap nasty vegetable oil. That explains the total lack of flavour. Would never buy any of their products again and feel totally ripped off. The only good thing was the tray - I loved the tray these came with. Solid, nice design and reuseable. The tray is made in Lebanon - shame the baklava isn't.

These were run of the mill that you'd find in your average shop in London. Definitely edible but most tasted the Same despite different toppings. Contains nuts of course. Authentic but very average.
