⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m really impressed with the Bosch Professional 12V System Cordless Palm Router GKF 12V-8. It’s compact and super lightweight, which makes it easy to maneuver for detailed edge work. The battery life is solid enough for most small to medium projects, and the cordless feature means no annoying cables to get in the way. The brushless motor runs smoothly and quietly, and the variable speed control helps get just the right cut depth and finish. The build quality feels very durable and professional-grade. Plus, including the 17mm open-ended spanner means I didn’t have to hunt for tools to change bits — nice touch! Perfect for woodworkers or hobbyists who want precision without lugging around big, heavy tools. Definitely a great addition to my toolkit.

This is a really good tool, that has been on the receiving end of some nice engineering from Bosch. It does look odd, and the shape of the grip seems to confuse people initially, but when you get your head round it, it's a comfortable design to use. The asymmetric layout gives you a really stable platform to guide the machine along a surface without the risk of tipping over the edge and digging in, which I always found to be an irritating risk when rounding over with a heavier conventional router. Quality of life factors are strong with this design, it's so small and easy to use, and really lowers the bar for what's worth putting small finishing touches on. It is also remarkably quiet for a router. Because it is so hassle free to use, I find myself grabbing it to finish an edge nicely even where it's not strictly necessary, and is something I definitely wouldn't have bothered dragging the big router out for. The quick and precise depth adjustment is really well implemented, although a graduated scale would have been a useful addition. I ended up adding a paint mark to one of the grooves on the fine adjust wheel to help keep track of the rotation. The design of the spindle lock is great, and really ought to be standard on all routers (and any other tool with a spindle lock!), It is so convenient that it latches and you no longer have to hold a fiddly little button in while you're wrestling with a spanner! It doesn't rotate as fast as a mains router, but for trimming and rounding over, it's got plenty of power. It manages 6mm (1/4") and even 12mm (1/2") grooves in ply and softwood fine as long as you're realistic and don't get greedy with cut depths and feed rates. I've not tried hardwood yet. There are a few interesting designs for 3D printed accessories on thingiverse and other design sharing sites, which gives you the option to add accessories such as a fence, circle cutting fixture, dust extraction, etc that Bosch don't offer directly. There are even a couple of designs for router tables, which could be quite handy for some users.

This is a great router to work with. Small and light, easy to hold and control. Great for edging work and other smaller jobs. My old 240v 1/4 inch router hardly gets used now! Don't expect it to do the work of a 1/2 inch router and you'll be delighted. I already have other tools from the range so the bare unit is good value for money.

This is a nice piece of kit. It is surprisingly powerful and relatively easy to use. It’s easy to set up and light so making it very versatile. I also got it for a good price. The only downside for me has been the location of the on/off switch. I have not been able to turn it on or off with my operating hand, I’ve had to use my other hand. You need to be aware of this to operate safely.

I have a big band saw, table saw, circular saw ect...but it's the full size router that scares the crap out of me thing. So much as I hardly use it - I've chiseled out meters of grooves by hand just because I didnt want to be holding that lunatic at groin level. This however is smaller and cordless. Being smaller, it's not scary. Being cordless means I'm not going to get the cord caught and flip the router into my face or groin. Big upside to this investment - groin safety. After buying this I actually use a router now in my work. This is good. Also, I think the Bosch 12v is a good system to invest it. Everything I cordless I owned was dewalt and it was just getting too expensive. Bosch 12v still isn't cheap but I think it's the right balance of quality/tool variety and price. Reccomend!

exceptional tool, it is in one hand and this allows you to do a great deal of work without using bulky tools. useful for both trimming and digging, obviously it is not a cutter that allows you to do heavy work but just to understand it makes it useful in a thousand ways. 8mm and 6mm and 6.3mm drills can be used. I would do the purchase again arrives without batteries and without battery charger arrives without the boxx

I used this trim router for the first time today and I must say I’m very pleased with the quality and results of the finish. The router is simple to set up and use. Adjusting is very easy. I had a 1/4” shank 12mm x 30mm trim bit in it. I used a fresh battery which was more than ample power for the cut I had in mind. The machine performed admirably.

Nice tool for trimming edges. easy to handle. Fine adjuster is not easy to turn when body is close to base plate. Adjustment locking thumb turn tends to loosen when using. Update The thumb turn constantly loosens and has now fell of and lost

Purchased this to use for occasional edge routing on small carpentry projects and after 5 minutes of use, smoke started coming from the exhaust housing. Tried to contact the seller on numerous occasions but am still waiting on a response. I would be extremely aware before purchasing and ensuring the product is 100% brand new

Bosch, dovete assolutamente riprogettare questo rifilatore, la qualità costruttiva è pessima, dopo poche ore di utilizzo, il cuscinetto motore inizia a fischiare, fino a diventare un frullatore. Così dopo averni acquistati 5, ho deciso di aprirne uno, è quello che ho trovato all’interno mi ha scioccato, neanche le marche cinesi più economiche!!!! Il cuscinetto motore è da 12, decisamente sottodimensionato (l’ho trovato esploso all’interno) Comunque senz’altro difettosi. Il motore, cuscinetti, chinghia, elettronica, non hanno nessun tipo di schermatura dalla polvere, infatti era tutto saturo.

Arrivato nei tempi previsti, e' un prodotto della linea blu professionale, e si vede. Ho messo 4 stelle perche' e' arrivato con il colletto da 6 mm sebbene fosse previsto il colletto da 8 mm: la maggior parte delle frese per rifiliare hanno gambo da 8 mm. Occho perche' il colletto di ricambio da 8 mm originale Bosch (che ho dovuto ordinare) costa 40 euro ivato, una esagerazione rispetto al prezzo del rifilatore.
