I bought this for my daughter and her fiance to store away funds for their upcoming wedding! It's a great idea. Now if only they can put money into it for their wedding next year! It's difficult for them because everything is so expensive nowadays! :)

People don't even want to mess with it. It's perfect! Decent space, considering, but the craftsmanship is top notch. Great Product.

This is more expensive than quite a few other’s. Despite that, I chose this because I liked the availability of “looks” - they help to blend with my other books.The real paper edges are great, and also help with blending in.I opted for the keyed safe rather than the combination lock. Seriously?, any locking mechanism is rather moot. Anyone determined on getting to whatever’s inside is gonna do it with little effort. Take it with them and open it at their leisure. The “real” safety to this type of safe is its camouflage. It looks like a real book while sitting among other’s, but anyone accustomed to handling hardcover books will likely feel the differences, and see them too on visual inspection - the corners are too “crisp”, like a box. The “hope” would be that it doesn’t stand out from any other’s on the shelf.The observations above aren’t meant to detract for this book safe. ALL book safes have the same failings - they aren't unique to this one.

I was so excited for this product. When I got it I tried to open the safe but the keys were locked inside the door would not open. I had to pry the corner open with a spoon and try to slide and shimmy the keys out which eventually worked. The lock is poor quality the keys get stuck and don't always want to open or get out of the lock. I do really like the cover of the book. I do really like that they use real paper. And I like the overall idea of a book safe.
