Tomorrow's Kitchen Avocado Box, Green, 8.8 x 16 x 8.8 cm

I bought this to help a banana survive until lunch time in my daughter's school bag. It's quite large but it works. Even the bendiest banana fits in and it's strong enough to withstand squishing by school books. We've had it three months and it's already started to fray at the corners at the top - the hinges are beginning to fail, but I've repaired it with sticky tape. I don't think it'll last forever, but it's still better than having a mushy banana.

Its a good design and it works, but its huge! I could fit 2 bananas in it.

Bought this for my son to take to school but to be honest its so big and cumbersome he hasn't even bothered! I would say it might be ok for an office worker but not ideal for a school child who already has a pretty full school bag as you would need a fair bit of room to actually fit this in! The plastic itself seems quite sturdy so it would probably protect the banana quite well but the clips are really quite tough so a small child would probably struggle to open this themselves.

As I often go for an early morning yomp on the cliff path near where I live, and often take a banana for a snack. As I also have a bottle of water in my bag, my banana often gets very bruised and sometimes leaky ... making a mess of both bag, and making the banana inedible.I have tried using the large banana shaped cases but so often found that the bend was too tight, or the length was wrong etc etc.The Vacu Vin banana guard has so far fitted all the bananas I have tried. It clips together very easily, and your precious banana if perfectly protected inside ... But, and it is a star reducing but ... It is big ... This is somewhat mitigated by the fact that it folds flat when not in use, but if like me, you take along a bottle of water too, your lunch pack can be pretty bulky.Well worth the price in my opinion despite the size.

I'm not a fruit fan, but to try and imrpove my diet I had taken to bringing a banana a day to work, which is fine when they are still rippening and have thicker skins, but by the end of the week they look truly kicked in and are more bruised than Mike Tyson after a post match fall down the stairs. So to remedy this I had seen some of these banana guards before, those odd ones which look more like a marital aid with holes in it and came across this little wonder. Drastically different design but holds all types of banana shapes rather than the 80% quoted by other models. Its so simple to use and is ingenius in its design. I can know carry my banana's with safety and not have to worry about finding baby food at the bottom of my bag when I get to work! Although if the banana is too old it will still show up some marks, but still a vast improvement on anything else. For the price and the ingenuity involved, you would have to be banana's not to buy this product. Potassium hounds of the world, look upon your saviour and bask in its banana-guardy simplicity!

This is a stocking filler for a banana fanatic. It is quite large but the recipient will be carrying it in the car so that is not really an issue for me. I like the way the case can also be used to open the banana - very useful when travelling. I also like the way that it should fit any size and shape of banana - some of the other cases seem to be a bit limited in this regard.

The creases and conversely the material are both not robust enough to withstand even the first fold - one end of the case broke when attempted to fold for the first time. The crease is good for a 90 deg fold - needs s softer polymer to be blended in to be able to withstand the curvy fold.When open the product is flat and takes less space, great. However, when made up, this is one of the huge space wasters in your bag.Kudos to the designer for coming up with this.I respect and like innovation and often try products just because somebody has put thought and effort into their creation. Disappointed with the function, but, not the creation. Scope for improvement. All the best.

I have bought several banana cases. This is by far the best one. The size and shape accommodates bananas of all sizes. It’s sturdy- my banana is never bruised. It also lasts a long time. Over the last 5 years, I’ve bought three. Over time, the snaps eventually break off, but the cases get a lot of use at my house.

Works perfectly for all shapes of bananas, bought a second one because they are so good!

Die Box kam pünklich und sehr gut verpackt an.Ich bin ein riesen Fan von Avocados und welcher Avocadoesser kennt es nicht, man schneidet eine Avocado auf und 20 Stunden später ich die komplette Oberfläche Braun.Mit dieser Box passiert das nicht, die Avocado hält sich darin viel länger frisch und wird nicht Braun.Bisher haben alle Avocados in die Box gepasst ob klein, groß, länglich oder doch eher oval.Die Box ist sehr stabiel und hat auch schon den ein oder anderen Sturz überlebt.Zudem sieht sie sehr schön aus und das Material fühlt sich sehr angenehm an.Ein muss für jeden Avocadoliebhaber.
