Impressed
I had the official Nikon grip for my D90, but times are harder now - especially after upgrading to a D7200 so I thought I'd try a cheaper grip this time and save a couple hundred quid. So, here we go with the Neewer review. Pros - Nice quality and nice feel, attaches very solidly to the camera and locks tight. Isn't quite flush with the sides of the camera as my old official one was, but it's a matter of 1mm-1.5mm only - Shutter button has a nice click (prefer it to the camera's own mushy button) and also has the half-press mechanism - AE/AF button works great (don't forget to assign it in the menu, I like it as AF-ON so I can hold-to-focus) - Gets recognised as an MB-D15 by the camera. Cons - Very slight gap between body and grip - you can see if you hold it up to the light at a certain angle. Could always pad it with some black material if it bothers you but it's very minor. My old D90 one required a piece of cardboard to lock tight (known issue with them) and that cost £200. - Front dial is a bit clacky, and the directional button for me was very hard to press UP on without triggering an INWARDS click. Made moving focus point in portrait mode to the left quite tricky as the inward press reset it to centre So a couple of minor issues but for the price it's great. I got used to the grip on my D90 and really struggle to hold a camera without one now. Even the official one for the D90 didn't have the same feel on the directional pad and shutter button as the camera, so I don't feel I'm missing out with the Neewer. Battery grips are great for stability, letting you rest your elbow on the top of your stomach and gripping the bottom of the camera as well as the side. Helps with panning also as it's easier to rotate your upper body smoothly while keeping your frame rigid. If you've never tried a grip, this is a great price to try one. You have nothing to lose and if you're reading this, you probably own a camera that cost £800+ so this is a cheap as chips attachment that could help your shots, especially action/panning or low-light shots. Worth it even with the slight niggles.

Great bit of kit !
Bought this for use on my Nikon D3300. Came very well packed indeed & once opened was fitted to camera within minutes. It fitted on perfectly, looks great & gives the camera almost a professional look about it. It is surprisingly light in weight so when carrying your camera around your neck all day it doesn't cause any bother or discomfort. Once attached it also seems to give camera a better fit in my camera bag, so less likely to move around even with dividers in place. I've only spent 2 days out with it so far & it has performed excellently, both instances the weather was wet & dreary but when finished just wiped it all over with a dry cloth & no problems it seems with the damp (although its stated as not waterproof). So far the battery indicator on the camera hasn't dropped 1 notch yet, & on my 2 days of shooting took near in the region of 600 shots so am hoping the power from the two batteries fitted will last some considerable time before a recharge is necessary. Overall so far am very impressed & would recommend this very useful bit of kit for a very reasonable sum of money. If you do regular spells of photography & plan on do a great number of shots in a day, you'll have peace of mind that you will have plenty of power to get you through your shoot & also keep your batteries all in one place rather than tucked in a pocket in your camera bag, & not have to worry about loss of power for maybe an all important or amazing shot or photo.

Perfect
Since there isn't a Nikon D3100 battery grip I bought this as I find the D3100 quite small. This certainly is just as good as any official Nikon grip! It supplies a good bit of extra room for your hands for more stability and secureness. Holds my two Nikon batteries securely and attaches to my tripod perfectly! The shutter button works well. People complain about the plastic, but it's light and certainly adds very little weight on it. I have read reviews where people don't like the tightening switch cause it "jiggles" or the battery chamber cover cause it seems "loose", well what do you expect for the bargain price? The tightening switch does jiggle a bit but its secure as anything and doesn't unlock or anything. Also the cover is perfect on mine, doesn't seem loose and these minor "faults" certainly aren't gonna wreck this review. It's cheap and reliable, it does what a grip should do and to be perfectly honest you'll never find a better grip for a D3100 unless Nikon bring out an official one! Thank you

Battery grip holder
Fitted to my Nikon 3200 camera easily and snugly; quality doesn't feel too bad, pretty sturdy in fact and will do the job I bought it for. Using it as a hand held set-up it is very comfortable, the inbuilt shutter release button is handy, particularly when shooting in the vertical position (hand held). Have fitted to a tripod and it worked OK in the horizontal position, but haven't tried it in the vertical yet. For the price it is a good buy, and having 2 batteries connected means you don't have to worry about a sudden power shut-down - more than enough for a days shoot. A tip, made sure you fit it securely and firmly to the camera, especially if using a tripod.

Excellent product and work perfectly!
Excellent product! Used for a Nikon D3200. Very easy and simple to use. Once attached the grip feels perfect and feels very sturdy. Fits perfectly onto the camera and doesn't feel cheap or loose. Small compartment available to place the original battery cap to avoid losing it. I've previously found that the battery continues to drain when left inside the camera even when turned off/not being used but this doesn't seem to be an issue anymore as I'm able to leave the batteries inside and still attached to the Camera and not see a drop in charge level.
