For the first three times I used this just on the external parts of my Cockerpoo’s ear canal, to see how he reacted to it. There was no signs of any irritation and so I went ahead and put some of the solution into his ear canal. I gave it a good massage and then cleaned and dried his ear inside and out. He has suffered with his left ear for the last 2 years, there’s been no infection present, just a dark coloured waxy discharge and unpleasant smell. I have used all sorts of cleaners and drops on his ears and although they managed them well, I just couldn’t get the left one completely better. I read the reviews on this Wahl ear cleaner and decided to give it a go. Well to say I’m amazed and very happy is an understatement, we’ve had no smelly ear all week, yeah!! I have cleaned his ear again today, it still didn’t smell but there was a tiny bit of yellow coloured wax on a couple strands of the hair, but really it was nothing. Nothing unpleasant on any of the wipes or buds I used at all. I am prying after all this time that I have at last found the cleaner his ear responds to. I would definitely recommend giving it a go if you have been like us and struggled to get good results. My husband thinks it smells too medicinal, but I think it smells clean and fresh and my pooch doesn’t seem to have any complaints either! Update… One week on, his ear is completely better. 🙂

Easy to use, doesn’t irritate, cleans a grubby spaniel ear a treat leaving a clean fresh smell … and it lasts. Highly recommend … Reggie would too, if you offer him a treat 😂.

Good cleaning solution for dogs ears

We use this after plucking the ear hair from the doodle girls. Go outside and straddle your dog, fill one ear canal and as their head goes down, fill the other. Put the bottle down quickly and massage both gently, then stand clear and let them shake. If necessary, wipe excess with a tissue, but the liquid will evaporate. It has a clean smell and is simple to use. Highly recommend

I got this for my dog and it works ok. The smell ain't bad and it does the job but can get messy. It seems very runny compared to others I've had
