This is an excellent water flosser. I love that it operates using two AA batteries. I use rechargeable high-power Eneloop batteries which are superb and cheap to operate. This means that I don't need to worry about Li-Ion battery failure before the rest of the machine is ready to be recycled, and when travelling it isn't necessary to carry around a bulky charger unit with our absurdly ungainly British plug taking up space. In terms of ease of use, nothing could be simpler. You pull out the blue plastic base until it clicks into place. Flip open the reservoir port and fill it from the tap with warm or cold water. There are two power settings but both do a decent job. I tend to use the high power setting but for those with sensitive teeth or dental issues the lower setting is perfectly adequate. The nozzle rotates around 360 degrees and can be released by pressing a small button on the side. Replacement nozzles are available here although I think it would take some time to wear one out. There is a small indentation in the side of the upper unit which allows the nozzle to be stored while travelling, safely tucked inside when the blue base is slid up into compact position. Just remember it's there when you pull the canister open as it will fly out of there if you aren't careful. I don't know whether I would travel with this simply because I travel very lightly usually, and dental floss, or interdental brushes are so light in comparison. I would definitely miss this machine if I didn't have it with me however. It's so easy to floss with this compared to other methods, and so effective. It packs into a very small footprint however and weighs about the same amount as an electric toothbrush I would estimate. Certainly a portable unit. It is also possible to buy a hard case to protect it should you wish. In short this is a very reasonably priced machine that performs superbly, is easy to operate and travel with compared to alternatives, and takes user serviceable AA batteries. (If you struggle to open the battery compartment just push down a little as you turn with a coin or something similar, make sure you're rotating in the direction indicated on the arrow, about 30 degrees, and don't be afraid if it resists a little the first few times.) This is a comparative review of the Panasonic EW-DJ10, Waterpik WP-660UK and the Power Floss manual water flosser. POWER - the Waterpik has ten settings from gentle (unlikely to irritate even sensitive gums) to super powerful (patio cleaning power!) The Panasonic falls about midway between the Waterpik's range of settings. It's definitely powerful enough to give the gums a good workout even though it's battery operated. Just don't expect a gentle floss. If you need gentle go for the Waterpik. I can't really recommend the Power Floss because it's shoddily made. I was so disappointed about this because I used to own the previous model and it worked well enough but the re-designed version is awful. It leaks and the manual pump is awkward to use and randomly stops working. MESS AND CLEAN UP - The Panasonic makes the most mess. It's like a garden water sprinkler because it sprays so effectively that water bounces off the gums and teeth all over the place. The Waterpik on low settings is less messy because the spray nozzle is on a flexible cord that's easier to control than the fixed nozzle of the Panasonic. The Power Floss is the least messy mainly because it doesn't work very well. A clean disposable kitchen towel is enough to wipe and dry all these flossers ready for the next session. I haven't used mouthwash in them so I don't know if this would eventually clog them up. A quick flush with clean water after the mouthwash might prevent this. NOISE - The Waterpik is very noisy and would wake people up if used late at night. The Panasonic is not too loud and, with the bathroom door closed, should not disturb others in the flat/house. The Power Floss is silent whether it's working or not (usually not!) CONCLUSION - I like the Panasonic for its portability and the Waterpik for it's gentle options. The Panasonic gives my gums a bit too much of a hammering to be used all the time which is when I switch to the Waterpik. If only the Waterpik was less noisy then it would definitely be the overall winner. As it stands, I recommend both the Panasonic and Waterpik as they complement each other and cover all my needs. Unless the Power Floss gets a redesign and the manufacturing quality improves I can't recommend it.

Works well, aqua flosser is a wonderful product. Well worth it

Da meine hochpreisige Munddusche wegen Schlauchbruch einen Totalschaden erlitten hat, habe ich mich für diese hier entschieden, die ohne Schlauch auskommt und sich dank kompakter Bauweise und Batterie, bzw. Akkubetrieb (im Lieferumfang sind Batterien enthalten) sogar perfekt für die Reise eignet. Nun benutze ich die neue Munddusche seit einer Woche und bin absolut begeistert. Das Gerät kommt ohne überflüssigenm Schnickschnack aus und erfüllt vollkommen den von mir gewünschten Zweck, nämlich nach dem Zähneputzen Speisereste aus den Zahnlücken zu spülen, die weder durch Zahnbürste, noch Zahnstocher oder Zahnseide erreicht werden. Die Batterien halten jetzt bereits seit einer Woche intensiver Nutzung und der in 2 Stufen einstellbare Strahl hat genau die richtige Stärke. Durch die kompakte Bauform ist das Gerät angenehm handlich und kein Schlauch behindert die Bewegungsfreiheit oder mindert unnötig den Druck des Wasserstrahl. Durch die simple Konstruktion dürfte Kalk keine Chance haben sich irgendwo festzusetzen. Darüberhinaus ist das Gerät super leise, was ich gegenüber meiner bisherigen Oral-Dusche als ausgesprochen angenehm empfinde. Als einzig möglichen Kritikpunkt ist der relativ kleine Wassertank zu nennen. Dem steht allerdings gegenüber, dass die Munddusche wegen des gezielteren Wasserstrahl und des besseren Handlings wesentlich besser arbeitet als meine alte und ich daher auch schneller mit der Zahnreinigung fertig bin. Mit etwas Übung reicht normalerweise eine Tankfüllung. In hartnäckigen Fällen ist es aber auch kein Problem den Tank in sekundenschnelle für einen zweiten Durchgang erneut zu füllen. Fazit: Nach einer Woche intensiver Erfahrung bin ich überzeugt, dass diese Munddusche mein stetiger Begleiter wird und ich sie wesentlich häufiger benutze als meine bisherige, nicht nur besseren Mobilität, sondern auch wegen der effektiveren und angenehmeren Funktionalität. Klare Kaufempfehlung für jeden, den wie mich hin und wieder Speisereste in Zähnen oder Zahnfleisch plagen, die mit anderen Mitteln kaum zu entfernen sind.

Irrigador dental a precio inmejorable, cómodo y bastante potente. Obviamente tiene el contrapunto de ir a pilas, pero aguantan mucho, aún usándolo a diario. Gracias a su tamaño puedes llevártelo de viaje sin problema, yo me he acostumbrado a usarlo y ahora me incomoda no darme una pasada con el irrigador antes de ir a dormir. Te deja con una sensación de limpieza imposible de alcanzar con sólo cepillo e hilo dental.

Je suis très satisfaite par ce jet dentaire de voyage. Je l’utilise en complément d’un jet dentaire sur secteur : le WaterJet d’Oral B. Ce dernier est bien trop lourd et encombrant pour l’emmener en voyage, il me fallait donc trouver une solution pour avoir une hygiène dentaire irréprochable même loin de mon domicile ;) J’ai particulièrement aimé : ✅ Sa puissance : il a deux vitesses mais la vitesse 1 est largement suffisante pour nettoyer les espaces inter-dentaires de manière efficace… Je pense qu’il sera d’ailleurs trop puissant (au début) si vous n’avez pas l’habitude des jet dentaires. ✅ Sa taille : il est peu encombrant et assez léger pour être facilement transporter en déplacement ou lors d’un voyage. Il mesure environ 15cm en position refermé. ✅ Son réservoir : il est assez grand pour nettoyer toutes les dents sans avoir à re-remplir le réservoir pendant l’utilisation. Mes conseils : ✅ Il faut bien vider le réservoir après chaque utilisation : pour éviter les désagréments à long terme de l’eau stagnante… ✅ Il est possible d’utiliser des piles rechargeables même si le fabricant ne le recommande pas…Pour ma part, j’utilise des piles Duracell rechargeables (environ 10 jours d’autonomie à raison de deux utilisations par jour). ✅ Il faut utiliser une pièce pour ouvrir facilement le compartiment à piles. ✅ N’oubliez pas de bien allumer le jet dentaire une fois qu’il est positionné dans la bouche pour éviter les éclaboussures ! Par ailleurs, si vous recherchez un jet dentaire pour une utilisation quotidienne et à domicile, il faut mieux se tourner vers un jet dentaire sur secteur : dans ce cas : le waterjet d’oral b est idéal. Trois petits bémols : - Je ne m’attends pas à une durée de vie « extraordinaire » de ce produit. Cependant, j’ai testé bon nombre de jet dentaires et je me suis résignée à devoir les changer tous les 3-4 ans. - Il est un peu bruyant (voir ma vidéo) mais je ne trouve pas le bruit gênant. Il est d’ailleurs impossible de trouver un jet dentaire silencieux. - Il est un peu moins maniable qu'un jet dentaire avec un réservoir extérieur (comme les "oral b"), mais c'est la " contrepartie" pour avoir un produit qui ne prend pas de place. Au final, je trouve ce jet dentaire idéal pour les voyages : peu cher et efficace. Le rapport qualité-prix est donc excellent ! Je ne peux que le recommander.
