Great for a beach Art project with my 3yr old class.

Most of the time when I buy “4-5 in” scallop shells 3/4 of them are close to 4”.. over half of these were 4 1/2 to 4 7/8”. Great sizes for what I needed.

The shells are a great size. They are nice and large but all of them have slightly chipped edges. The coloring is also not as white as in the picture. They all have beige or grey streaks. Overall if you’re looking for an affordable natural looking seashell this is a good buy, but if you’re hoping for perfect white shells look elsewhere.

These scallops are fragile, dirty (like heavy oil stains) and edges chipped. This was my second box thinking hoping that they we're going to be usable. Unfortunately, not ... waste of money!! There are other sellers in the Amazon marketplace that do have great, and usable scallops. Yes, great price but not for something you can't even use. Remember the saying, you get what you pay for ... ugggggg, very disappointed.

Excellent quality of shells, very nice and useful for creature building. I hope these are farmed, rather not use wild shells, bad for the wildlife

The positive news is that the shells were a good size. The negative side is they were very dirty looking/ discolored and one was broken. I decoupage with the shells so I usually paint them white first so I can overlook the dirty, discolored part. Most customers would not like these shells because of the discoloration.

I ordered the 5-6 inch set of 2, exactly what I wanted for Coquille Saint Jacques (scallops in cream sauce 😉). Plenty of room for 3 big, fat scallops, and they can go right into the oven and then onto the plate. They look very professional and elegant. I was so pleased, I immediately ordered another set. Delivery was fast, packing was well-padded and secure.
