Cool product, easy to operate, no sharp edges
I can't speak to the durability/longevity of this product as I just received it. However, it send well built enough and does exactly what it says it does. It removes the top of a can without any sharp edges. It essentially turns any can into a drinking cup. I've used it on tallboy type cans, regular 12 oz cans, and even skinny cans. It's easy to use and is fairly simple, once you figure out how it functions. (Use the included QR code for the how-to video, it made it much simpler)

Wonderful for repurposing aluminum cans!
I bought the Draft Top Lift thinking it would be a cool gadget, but it’s become one of my favorite tools for DIY crafts—especially candle making! It cleanly removes the entire top of aluminum cans, leaving a smooth edge that’s safe to handle. Perfect for repurposing cans into unique candle holders or other upcycled projects. The build quality is solid—premium aluminum, sleek black and grey finish, and made in the USA. For the price, it’s a great value considering how versatile it is. If you’re into upcycling, DIY candle projects, or creative home décor, this tool is a game-changer without breaking the bank. Candle-Making Tip: After removing the top, wash and dry the can thoroughly, then add a heat-resistant adhesive under the wick tab before pouring wax. This keeps the wick centered and makes your finished candle look professional! Highly recommend!

Works great once you get the hang of it. Bit of a learning curve at first.
While it takes a few tries to get the hang of using it properly, and it is probably a tad pricey for what it does, I really like the device. It makes perfectly clean cuts of can tops, and is exactly what I was looking for to be able to enjoy the aroma of craft beers while still being able to use my Yeti insulated beer koozie. Yes, I could just pour the beer in a glass, but I like the insulation of the Yeti, and this cuts down on glasses to wash. It took me 4 or 5 cans to get the hang of using the opener properly. I had a couple of punctures with no cuts, cans overflowing as I cut them, or lids that fell back into the beer after they detached. While the instructions are generally clear, it takes a few tries to figure it out. The key is that you must lock the opener into place using the pull tab, and most importantly, you have to lift the can and hold/twist it from the bottom. If you hold and twist it from the side, the beer will overflow as the top is cut. Also, you have to be mindful to release the handle once you've turned the can exactly one rotation, otherwise the detached top will fall into the can, sink to the bottom, then float back up, and you'll have to fish it out. That being said, when you figure out how to use it properly, the opener works exactly as advertised and I now drink every beer with an open top in my Yeti koozie.

Unnecessary, but awesome at the same time
I ordered the standard black and grey color, but was sent the "ghost" white version instead. The color wasn't a huge deal for me so I decided to keep it, but I would've preferred the one I ordered. This is something that's been on my watch list for a while. Ever since seeing this product for the first time, I've wanted one. When I originally added it to my list, it was more expensive. As the prices came down, it became a bit more attractive. Honestly, I still had a hard time spending the money on a largely unnecessary can opener. That said, I'm glad I did! After reading and executing the instructions, this thing is a little tricky to use. Even after getting the hang of it, it doesn't work perfectly every time. Most of the time though, it works perfectly and leaves no sharp edges. Drinking out of the topless can is strangely pleasurable, especially when it's beer. You get the scent of your beverage without pouring it into a glass, and I believe it enhances the taste. Although some would argue that you don't need this opener and you can just pour it into said glass (true), it's a game changer for sure. Lastly, the day after I received the Draft Top LIFT, I was heading to a party. My wife suggested taking this with us, and it was an absolute hit! Everybody at the party was interested in this gadget. I got plenty of practice as I found myself opening everyone's cans throughout the party. It worked on everything from the kids soda to the adult beer and seltzer. I'm sure I sold a few of these for Draft Top. Summary: Do you need it? No. Should you buy one? Yes! Just do it!

Need to own
I used to like bottles or pouring into glasses, then I got this. Everybody I hand a can to loves this, I never go without it. It's not a novelty, you can smell what you're drinking, your nose doesn't hit the can lid when you're drinking it, you get everything from the can. Edges are smooth too.

Great concept but doesnt quite work every time
I picked this up as a gift, and while it kind of works, it didn’t fully meet expectations. The concept is fun and the design is appealing, but the actual performance was a bit inconsistent. It does what it’s supposed to—just not always reliably. It’s still a decent novelty item, and the recipient enjoyed it, but I wouldn’t count on it for heavy or frequent use. For the price, it’s okay, but I’d give it 3 stars based on overall value and functionality.

Best version yet
Best version yet though I wish they would bring back the integrated magnet that version 3 had. That being said this one opens cans better than the previous lift version. To prevent the can from denting make sure you hold the bottom of the can when you twist.

5 stars, fun and easy to use
Picked this up as a total impulse buy because it looked cool, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. I’ve ended up using it on every single can of soda and beer, even when I’m not adding anything extra to the drink, just because it makes cans nicer to drink from. There is a small learning curve, and it’s not 100% intuitive out of the box, but the short how‑to video on the manufacturer’s site clears everything up and makes it very easy to use. Once you get the motion down, it pops the top off quickly and leaves a smooth opening that feels a lot more like drinking from a glass. For the price—under $15 when I bought it—it feels like a great value, especially given how often I reach for it now. After about two weeks and roughly 20–30 cans, I’m not seeing any signs of wear or looseness, and it still works just as well as it did on day one. If you enjoy canned drinks and like the idea of “upgrading” the experience a bit, this is an easy little upgrade that’s absolutely worth trying. I’d happily buy it again or grab another as a gift for friends who are into beer, cocktails, or just fun bar gadgets.
