It could provide some protection but not all
First the good. It feel in hand a good sturdy piece of metal in perfect chrome.kind of good. After installation, we can see it protects the shift quite well, but doesn't cover the rear break. That said, the rear break itself is a very thick piece of metal, so it might not be an issue.last, not that good. The shape is not accurate that the hole for the bolt offset (see picture for the right side part, the left side no issue matches the hole perfectly). It took quite some strength to force it (yes it is flexible enough to push) so I can put the bolt in.summary, If you want full protection find something wider. This one can only protect somehow. It is higher than the peg, so it might help protect my legs and the tank I guess.
