Has the same look and feel of our old heavy set from the 80s. Plays well and the 15inch board is a good size and keeps it portable. My only "issue" is that once you open the board, you have to flip the latches up or they'll scratch the table - unlatched, they are taller than the case (see pic), certainly not a deal killer and other than that all the components look well made

Board is good quality but the prices are just a little too small as compared to original older ones

This set was smaller than I expected. I just want a regular size backgammon set but these 15 inch ones are not a regular size. And the white and brown chips are small. I was also disappointed with the lining, it was gray not brown as stated in the description. I am reordering a larger size but from 3 different venders and pick the one that I like best.

For the money it is very good. Much better than the one I bought in a pinch from Wal-Mart which was junk.

This backgammon set has all the features you want, at a decent price. No need to spend more.
