I have bought these once before, packaged as a genuine CROSS refill, made in China. They were poor the first time I bought them, but as no other refills seem to be available, other then those made in China, I bought them again. For the first 7 pages of an A5 diary the first refill was satisfactory, but then soon began to feel scratchy as the ink flow became intermittent and the black colour became grey to non-existent. Frequent shaking only provided temporary improvement. By page 14 it was useless so I started the second refill. I expect this will follow the same pattern, as did a previous purchase. Are CROSS refills made anywhere else, other than China? The quality is awful an offers very poor value. Based on this performance no one would consider buying a CROSS ballpoint pen! Many years ago they used to be manufactured in Ireland.
