Works as Advertised
Good value and product. Adhesive is VERY sticky and product is easy to cut to desired length. Install is a snap. I installed on an old and rough wooden step going into garage without issue. Just cleaned it up and applied.

Useful and Practical, but Adhesion Could Be Improved
The Socein Vinyl Stair Nosing is a great and practical product. I used it for my garage stairs, and it works well in providing a non-slip, waterproof edge that adds safety and a clean finish. The material feels durable, and the grey color blends in nicely with my setup. That said, the adhesion could definitely be better. I had to make extra effort to ensure it stayed in place, and I can see how it might not hold up well under heavy use without additional adhesive. Overall, it’s a useful and functional solution, but I’d recommend being prepared to use some extra adhesive for a more secure fit. Still, a good buy for the price!

Very nice update for my basement stairs
I choose these to update some basement stairs and they are pretty nice. They were really easy to place and seem to be holding nicely. They have only been in place about a week but they look and work great.

Functional with a great appearance
My back patio, including the step now has pavers on it and they blend in with the different levels making it somewhat hazardous. These things stick solid. The only thing I would recommend is to grind off a little bumps on the sides of the pavers that keep them separate from each other if you use them on pavers.

Nice rubber, but the bend over front lip of stair pulls away in short time.
Rubber tread material is sturdy, but the edge that curves down in front of the step has not stayed fully attached. I've gone back and heated the spots that have pulled away with a hair dryer to re- attach it 3 times over the 2 weeks since I installed it, and it still continues to pull away from the step. Not sure what the future holds for these treads. The glue seems strong, but because the tread does not have a pre-made bend to go down over the front lip of the stair, the tension to pull away from the stair is stronger than the glue - at least in some places. It is difficult to remove the protective tape from the tread when installing. I recommend cutting the tread to be a bit longer than you need, so you can trim off the end the protective tape was pulled away from in case the glue comes off with the tape at the start.

Bottom edge won’t lay flat
The top edge lays nice and flat and sticks well, but the bottom edge is wavy and won’t stay stuck down. If you push hard it’ll flatten out but as soon as you let go it comes unstuck and gets wavy again. I’m guessing it won’t take long before dust and dog hair are stuck to the adhesive under it where it waves out and I’ll need to replace it with something better. It would be a great item if not for the bottom edge being so bad

Exactly as pictured
These immediately gave our sun beaten front porch a much needed lift. Will buy more for the back porch.

Good Product
This nose edge worked for my chipped stair edges.. I don't know how to avoid the curling on the front area... my installer had to staple it. I like it.

This product is not robust enough. After two days there were spilts and tears in the rubber.
