They have been making this in Turkey since the 1870s, that is a reputation you cannot beat. Excellent taste, and this ship it fast and fresh, my last order arrived in three days! The full pistacio rolls are epic, lightly sweet, more savory.

In the past couple of years, I've purchase many products from Gulluoglu store and they never disappointed me. They always deliver on time, carefully packed and always delicious and fresh products. Recently I ordered my usual couple of boxes of Turkish delights and this time I added a box of assorted baklavas to my order and I wasn't surprised that these heavenly morsels exceeded my expectations! You'll never know what I'm talking about until you buy and try Gulluoglu's baklavas and Turkish delights for yourselves.

Baklava is my favorite sweet treat. Until about 6 months ago, my local grocery store would occasionally have locally made baklava, and I'd buy some whenever I saw it. For whatever reason, at some point it was no longer available, so I began looking at online vendors, braving whatever damage that might occur during shipping, due to varying temperatures, time, and rough handling. But, Gulluoglu has this all figured out. The package arrived quickly (to the US west coast). No pieces were damaged, so I could set them all out if I was planning to serve them to company. But the best thing is how delicious each variety is. The phyllo is buttery, the nuts are fresh, and it's sweetened just the right amount. Sweet, but not overdone, so you taste every ingredient and not just the sugar. These are excellent, and I will certainly be ordering more in the future.

I am so sad writing this review. I couldn't wait to get my batch of baklava. I have ordered another popular one from amazon, and it was a let down. It was just pure corn syrup. This one was supposed to be made with real honey and real butter and to be authentic. The reviews all claimed it was very fresh. The batch that I got was soggy and mushy with no crispy phyllo dough flaky layers. It was one big gummy bite, mushy and gooey. It reminded me of japanese rice cakes, so wrong.. Worse than that, I think that mine were tainted. They tasted like they had mold spores on them. The ones with the green pistachio color throughout were the worst, immediately spit it out in to the trash. The green rolls, and then the last variety on the end that had pistachio filling that made them appear mostly green. They were definitely off and bad. I turned them over to see if I could identify mold, but nothing was obvious in all the green and brown stickiness. In addition, I suspect that the butter used is a goat product. I know lots of people like goat cheese, I cannot stand it. The pastry had that undertone, it didn't taste of butter that I've ever had, it tasted like that distinct goat cheese flavor. The whole thing was a no for me. I considered contacting the company to let them know in case they wanted to replace the box, but I think this baklava is not for me even if I got a fresh untainted batch. They use goat products, it's not going to taste good to me. Lastly, I didn't taste honey one bit. I'm so disappointed. There was a great deal of care in the packaging, a lovely note inside, but the product itself just doesn't measure up. I don't think I'll try ordering baklava online again. This was a very expensive wasteful mistake.

I sent this to my sister as a gift, she said it tasted really good. My issue is the delivery service ups shipped it they left it in the sun and it got hot and melted. I know it's not your guys fault but I suggest using a different delivery service or inform them to knock or leave it in a cool place next time not in the sun and they should of knocked because it's a fresh food. Other then that she loved it just disappointed with ups not you guys. I feel bad about leaving a 3 star but I think it's a big issue to have baked goods arrive that way 100% upset at the ups not the product sister loved the product.

Exceeded expectations: Well packaged, arrived quickly, perfect flavor, texture, high quality baklava. The seller even included a free sample of Turkish delight that was equally authentic and delicious as the baklava, along with a gracious thank you for purchasing card. I will definitely purchase again, will buy it for gifts, and will recommend to friends.

Definitely will buy for others. I liked three out of the five but what I did like was really delicious and delightful! I will be sending one to my sister in the future.

Einfach köstlich

Ces baklavas sont délicieuses. Elles sont aussi bonnes que les meilleures que j’ai pu déguster lors de mon voyage en Turquie. Un véritable délice, elles sont fraîches croustillantes et moelleuses. Je recommande et certainement j’en rachèterais.

This is the second time ordering from this company and probably should have ordered more as we (and friends) are becoming addicted to the great product. This combo pack made an easy and well-received gift. As soon as their store is online I expect we will order more of the many variations of Baklava. We find that the stuff we froze and thawed tastes as if just made.
