Great way to make distilled water
I love this water distiller. It is perfect for making many gallons of distilled water. I really like the glass container that the distilled water empties into while it works. After making a three or four gallons, I dump the residual water and do a cleaning cycle using the provided citrate acid powder with about a 1/2 inch of fresh water. I heat the water a bit with a teaspoon of the citrate acid powder gently swirling the water until the powder desolves and until the hard water deposits melt away. Dump and rinse and the distiller is ready to the next batch or for storage. I have been using this for a while and love the freshly pure water it produces. I use the distilled water for my CPAP machine and to wash my car windows. Distilled water leaves no streaks when it drys. It's also great for computer screens and TV screens when put on a clean soft cloth. I am super happy with this product and strongly recommend it to anyone looking to make gallons of distilled water periodically.

In the long run, it will save money over distilled water from the store.
I wish I'd bought this earlier. We are on solar, and my two Forklift batteries go through a lot of water, getting topped off four times each year. This distiller works great to replace my stock after each refill. I like to keep at least six gallons ready. The "One Gallon" size is perfect and doesn't take that long to fill. Anything more would prove too heavy for some people to play with. Set it up, fill it to the line, touch the button and walk away. Come back in about three hours and you have just under a gallon of water waiting for you. Repeat as needed. One nice thing is, if you distill during the Fall or Winter time, the warmth of the unit helps keep that room nice and warm.

Just a big NO
The only good thing I can say about this distiller is that the fan is not as loud as people say. It sounds like any exhaust fan I've ever heard (bathrooms, over stove, etc) just not as loud. It could be just me since I enjoy white noise. That's where it ends.Setup was simple right out of the box, except for the band that you have to put on the carafe. If you have someone to help you it'll probably go easier than it did for me. The band kept wanting to spring back and slap me because they're not round. So the metal wants to resist. Other than that, there wasn't much setup to it. I washed it out and distilled a liter of water with citric acid (supplied) before putting it to use. At first, I didn't have a TDS meter so the first 3 or 4 batches I used for the plants and humidifier. Once I was confident that I had ran enough batches, I was confident enough to drink it. The water had a sauna taste to it. No other way to explain it. (If you've been in a hot tub or an actual sauna, you'll understand.) My TDS meter came in a few days later and I wss pleasantly surprised to find that it read 000 after distillation. (It read 038 straight from the tap.) Since the meter was reading 000 after distillation, I decided to add another satchet of activated charcoal (4 total were supplied) to see if it would improve the flavor; it did not.I continued drinking the water because the TDS meter continued to read 000 after every batch, despite the taste it had. I cleaned it after every batch, just like it recommends. It has an auto-off feature, but I was shutting it off at 3 hours and 45 minutes. I had read in another review that leaving some water in the bottom would make it so much easier to clean, and it really did. I was happy with my purchase albeit the sauna taste to it. However, 2 weeks in and the TDS meter is now reading solids in every batch. Sometimes it even reads higher than prior to distillation and that's concerning. At first, I had messaged the manufacturer about the taste and the carafe. (The carafe had an internal crack in it that couldn't be felt from the inside or outside and I wanted to replace it, and obviously the sauna taste was bothering me.) However, once the TDS meter started reading high solids, I requested a return from Amazon. One thing to note, is that I had previously dealt with this company before. I had bought a different distiller directly from their website and it was obviously a return. It had water stains and was missing parts. They tried to offer me a $26 refund and said that they don't sell used distillers. I had to go back and forth with them sending multiple emails until finally they issued a full refund. I would stay away from any Vevor products. They are lacking in customer service, and so far, I haven't had any luck with their products.Last thing that I am going to say is that I had originally posted a raving review about this morning distiller, including a video, and Amazon denied my review. They claimed that I violated community guidelines, but didn't explain what I did wrong. I submitted a second review, and it never posted. I'm hoping this one does post and that it can help someone.

Worth the money over buying gallon jugs.
Easy to use, turn it on and it automatically starts at 3.5 hours to make cleanup easier. I tested my well water and have aroun 260 PPM of disiloved solids. The first time I used it the distilled water had 0 PPM, second time 10 PPM. Cleaning was easy and small amount of citric acid was included. You can hear the fan, but it is very quiet. It does produce a lot of heat, that does warm up the room.

Overall, great so far for the price! I hope it lasts a while!
I bought this thing mostly for drinking tea. I live in an area that has pretty hard water. My gravity filter does a great job but leaves some metals in the water (I could tell because the inside of my tea kettle would always build up residue). I run it a couple times a week during the day and always while present and awake*. The water comes out looking and tasting very pure. I haven't tested it using a TDS meter... but I can confirm that I am not getting ANY residue build-up in my tea kettle anymore using water from this distiller which is a good sign that it is pretty pure! I'd argue darn near 0 TDS. So far, it is working as advertised 🤞.Two criticisms. First, the handle on the glass carafe is super loose & absolute trash design. I took it off and just pick up the carafe with two hands from the bottom now. Second, it makes less than a gallon (3000ml) in 3.5hrs. It was advertised as a full gallon per 3.5 hrs.* protip: you should never trust an electronic product that gets this hot - if you have at least 2-brain cells.

Good item, and possible problem with the loose band around the glass carafe was resolved.
The media could not be loaded. Honestly I am very happy with the distiller. It does a great job the water coming out is very pure, however I did have a problem with the carafe that came with the unit. The bands on the glass unit seem to be very loose. After going back and forth with the manufacturer I finally got a video that help handle the problem. I'm sharing it with you so that you can also understand that you have to continue tightening the screw on the metal bands until it tightens around the glass. At first I was afraid it was going to break the glass but I kept tightening it like the video and it worked out perfectly.Customer service was good except it took a day or two to get a response because I believe they were in China which is quite a time difference. I would recommend this item as it does do what it says and I'm very happy with it.
