Sainlogic Wireless Weather Station with Outdoor Sensor, 8-in-1 Weather Station with Weather Forecast, Temperature, Air Pressure, Humidity, Wind Gauge, Rain Gauge, Moon Phrase, Alarm Clock (No WiFi)

We had a major wind storm in the early part of November and my previous 5 year old weather station was ripped off the mounting pole by a 70MPH gust. I'm used to having one, so I checked Amazon and found the Sainlogic 8-in-1 Weather Station. It has all the features I want and the layout appears to be better balanced so stress at the mount should be more evenly distributed. It also has a solar panel that runs the sensors when there is adequate sunlight so the backup battery power is used only at night and on really cloudy days. It's to early to tell how accurate the readings are, but they seem to be similar to those from my previous weather station. The mounting system also has a better pipe clamp, but the plastic rod that goes between the clamp and the sensor unit is slightly bent, so I'm not able to get the sensors perfectly level. I'm also concerned about long term sturdiness, which is why I'm only giving it 4 stars. We'll see how it is after a hot, dry summer.The display is definitely an improvement as it's in color and brighter. I couple things I don't like are the weather forecast images and I wish it was easier to switch between actual outdoor temperature and "feels like" temp, so this also weighs into my 4 star rating.Overall the Sainlogic 8-in-1 Weather Station offered the features I wanted at a reasonable price.

Well the thing just works. It was easy to set up. We strapped the sensor station to a tall stick attached to the swamp cooler on the roof, so it stands about 8 feet above the roof and 20 above the ground. The receiver-display is crystal clear and attractive. I can read the numbers from across the room. Basically followed the instructions, inserted batteries, ran a test with the sensor in the living room and we were good to go.You need to be attentive about the sensor unit. It does need to be level and oriented to compass north. That shouldn't be hard to do -- just worth checking with some care.The display works fine out of the box. Temp The barometer also ticks up or down by +/- 0.01 in/hg. Keeping an eye on it gives you a good hint what is coming; the cartoon display above that 'forecasts' the coming weather and seems pretty close after a week of use. Nice graphic with clouds and flowers.SainLogic reached out and requested this review and in return promises an Amazon gift certificate. We'll see -- would be nice. Just want to be clear on the point. I would have written this review in any case because the thing is good and just fun, incentive or no.

My 20 year old basic weather station is failing, so I thought it would be fun to replace it with one with more features. I decided on the Sainlogic weather station because it tracks wind, wind direction, and rain, as well as the usual indoor/outdoor temp & humidity. I decided on this particular Sainlogic WS because it has a battery backup and no wifi. I really like this WS. The display is just the right size for my table top and you can calibrate certain readings. I compared this Sainlogic to my other WS and all readings were very close, but the indoor temp was almost 2 degrees off. Fortunately this Sainlogic WS allows you to calibrate readings so now the temp is spot on.The User Manual is pretty detailed, and installation was pretty easy. We installed it on top of our 8 foot fence. Very happy with my purchase.

The product does not measure rain correctly, which was the number one feature I was looking for. Time to start over.*** I'm going to update this review to say I'm pretty impressed that the company contacted me to find out what my issues were and are willing to work with me to make sure I'm a happy customer and that the product does what it says it should .Service to me is extremely important. They're willing to bend over backwards to make sure their customers are happy says big things about the culture of a great company.Me personally, I'll take a really good product over a great one- if the service on the really good one is exceptional. Because that's how you build a great company and products people want.That I as a single customer in voicing my concerns are important to them, and that they're willing to make things right says a lot.

I have used this product for 2 years, recently the outside temp/humidity sensor failed. I bought another unit to replace this one. I like that it has a memory, so I can check on wind gusts in the last 24 hours. I like to know the outside temp, so I know how to dress before I go out into it. The one thing I have not been impressed with is the rain gauge. We don't get a lot of rain where I live (in a rain shadow), detecting small amounts of rain seems not to work very well. I really like the bright display and the prediction of sun vs rain seems to be mostly accurate. I keep a glass rain gauge outside by my gate, so I can track the amount.

La unidad exterior ya viene montada, lista para elegir la ubicación. No tiene mástil y los accesorios de montaje no valen si el mástil es muy ancho.La consola interior resulta pequeña y no puede modificarse el valor de la presión relativa. Además, en mi caso, tiene un error importante en la temperatura de interior de 1 grado centígrado de más y de un 10% de menos en la humedad relativa. La unidad exterior parece marcar más o menos adecuadamente.Desconozco para qué sirve el panel solar. No pueden calibrarse los datos por lo que no pueden corregirse los errores de lectura. El manual de instrucciones está en inglés y en alemán.En cuanto al regalo por registrar la estación meteorológica en sainlogicgift, me parece escandaloso que, una vez reclamado el mismo, me insistan por correo electrónico en que modifique mi valoración y les dé una puntuación de 5 estrellas a cambio de una tarjeta por 5 euros de descuento para compras en Amazon.Es lamentable que una compañía trate de comprar a un cliente. No volveré a comprar ningún producto de la marca Sainlogic.

Eine behördliche Wetterstation steht nur ca. 200 entfernt.-------------------------------Abweichungen und Fehler:-------------------------------Barometer -Der Luftdruck zeigt regelmäßige Abweichungen von 6 bis 9 hPa (absolut wie relativ) an.Behördliche Barometerdaten durch Seehöhenunterschiede von bis 400m geben an:(Kleinster Wert) 1018,7 hPa bis (Größter Wert) 1019,3 hPa. (Sainlogic spricht von 1010,2 hPa) RESETs, Batterien raus, CRL an der Basisstation ohne Effekt.Sainlogic registriert einen plötzlichen Anstieg des Drucks um 3 hPa der gar nicht existiert. (Mögen Sie Fakenews?)Thermostate Innen- Außen -Die Außentemperatur weicht von den Messdaten um etwa. 4 C° ab und widerspricht ständig den behördlichen Wetterstationen. Auch steht diese Messung im Widerspruch zu meiner zweiten Wetterstation eines namhaften Herstellers. Dessen Außensensoren arbeiten mit einer max. Abweichung von +/-0,5 C° im Bezug zu den wissenschaftlichen Wetterdaten der Behörde.Die Innentemperatur bietet Abweichungen von bis zu 1,5 C° die mit zwei zuverlässigen Innenthermostaten verglichen werden.Regenmenge -Nach den ständigen Fehlern bei der Druckangabe wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Support von Amazon die RESETs vorgeschlagen um den Sensoren die Möglichkeit zu geben sich zu „bessern“!RESET nach Anleitung gibt es gar nicht, aber es wurden alle erdenklichen Optionen durchgeführt die Wetterstation und die Basisstation zu RESETten.Die Regenmenge der letzten 24h beträgt immer noch 3,4 mm. Es ist unmöglich die Daten zu löschen-resetten.Die Wetterstation wird abmontiert (ORT der Anbringung auf dem Mast des Hausdachs)Das Dach des Hauses ist der höchste Punkt im Umkreis von 400m und wird durch keine Wände, Bäume, Nebengebäuden oder Gegenstände beeinflusst. WAS FÜR EIN KOMPFORT für Sainlogic!Nach entfernen der Batterien der Wetterstation kommt es zur großen Überraschung und Ernüchterung:Die Basisstation arbeitet einfach ohne Anstalten weiter, als wäre alles in Ordnung.Die Winddaten werden nur mehr statisch mit NW und einer Windgeschwindigkeit von 1,8 km/h angezeigt.Noch dazu zeigt die Basisstation eine Verbindungsstärke mit 2 Strichen an!Der Regensensor gibt seit der Demontage der Wetterstation plötzlich einen völlig phantastischen Wert von 38,6 mm Regenmenge der letzten 24h an.Luftdruck, Innen- Außentemperatur, Luftfeuchtigkeit alles wird angezeigt als gäbe es eine Verbindung. Eine Verbindung zu einer zweiten Wetterstation existiert nicht, weil die Winddaten seit Entnahme der Batterien „eingefroren“ sind.D.h. Es ist unmöglich, dass die Basisstation gleichzeitig mit zwei Wetterstationen kommuniziert und sehr wohl eine Unterbrechung registriert aber nicht anzeigt.Woher plötzlich diese 38,6 mm Regenmenge in 24h kommt weiß nur Sainlogic.Die Ernüchterung:Das Fazit dieser eigenartigen Sensorik, Arbeitsweise und Messdaten lässt leider nur eine Schlussfolgerung zu:Die Wetterstation kommuniziert mit der Basisstation aber überspielt Unterbrechungen (Batterien raus und Wetterstation in den Verpackungskarton legen) ohne Warnmeldung und zeigt trotzdem eine 2-Strich-Verbindung an. Eine Unterbrechung ist nur daran zu erkennen, dass der Wind zum Zeitpunkt der Unterbrechung den letzten Messwert von 1,8 km/h aus NW anzeigt.Es erweckt auch den Verdacht, dass die Luftdruckwerte gar nicht von der Wetterstation kommen, sondern die Basisstation ermittelt. Die Sinnhaftigkeit dies an der Basisstation zu messen ist natürlich totaler Schachsinn, denn die Luftdruckwerte werden durch eine Klimaanlage im Wohnraum noch bis 3 hPa verfälscht!Weiter lässt sich daraus ableiten, dass hier mehr vorgegaukelt wird als tatsächlich mit „feinen“ Messinstrumenten korrekt „gemessen“ wird.Aber mit Optik und Display soll von der traurigen Wirklichkeit ablenkt werden - tatsächlich handelt sich hierbei leider nur um billigen China Schrott.Den Anschein beim Konsumenten zu erwecken mit VIEL Angebot, doch nur Halbe-Sachen abgeliefert werden ist auch nur ein weiterer Täuschungsversuch.Die Solarzelle hätte die Möglichkeit einen wiederaufladbaren Akku umweltschonend für die Nacht aufzuladen und zu betreiben anstatt den Raubbau am Planeten weiter zu fördern. Doch auch hier wieder: Halbe-Sachen!Ich empfehle Ihnen sich eine Wetterstation zu kaufen, die Sensoren von mittlerer oder hochwertiger Fabrikation bieten anstatt solche Produkte zu kaufen die leider ausschließlich zur Dekoration taugen.Zudem ist es fraglich, was Sie, mit diesen Fakedaten eigentlich anfangen wollen außer n i c h t s!?In zahlreichen 5- Sterne Bewertungen sprechen Käufer über genügend Messfehler.Wegen dieser widersprüchlichen Bewertungen stand das „Ding“ hier und spammte mich mit lauter wertlosen (wissenschaftlich ->ü b e r p r ü f b a r e n <-) Zahlen zu.Ein hübsches Schaufelrad mit viel Plastik und nutzlosen Zahlen, die fein auf der Basisstation angezeigt werden, ist aber noch lange kein anständiges 5 Sterne Messgerät.Es verhält sich so wie mit vielen angeblichen „Alleskönnern“ aus China, viele Versprechen, wenig Zuverlässigkeit, kurze Lebensdauer, schlechte Bedienung, optisch zwar nett, dafür technisch totaler Schrott. Ein Messgerät muss zuverlässig und genau sein und daher von mir (kein) 1 Stern!Nebenbei bemerkt:---------------------------Keine Bettruhe möglich-------‐--------------------Sollten Sie die Basisstation neben dem Bett stehen haben ist ein Gebrauch nachts ausgeschlossen.Die extrem lauten und nervigen Klick-Geräusche j e d e r Taste weckt sogar schwerhörige Menschen auf.- Nur für Singles kein Problem -Wer nur den Anschein erwecken will, dass da eine „tolle“ Wetterstation auf dem Dach steht, der greife zu…..

I bought this set-up to replace a much earlier one, so comparisons were interesting.The sender unit came pre-assembled, which was a definite plus. Installation however was a joke. It came with a very short post - far too short to keep the sender clear of any building obstructions, yet with a strange x-sectional shape that precluded fitting anything else into the mounting socket. What was wrong with good, old fashioned round? It also meant the unit could not be aligned with north unless you searched out another longer (round) extension pole and mounted that some other way before using the mounting bracket to link the two. Not pretty.The display, on the other hand, was a big improvement on my old lcd unit. Very unobtrusive and fits well in a domestic situation. Lots of information, but still a few minor gripes. Some of the colours stood out better than others - especially in a bright room. I would have preferred the time-of-day in white, and the less important date in green. Also some of the numerals were very close to each other, which made reading difficult across a room.But after all that, I'm happy........ except that, after a few days use, I note that the indoor temperature (at least) is constantly a whole degree higher than a Tado thermostat sitting right beside it, and the humidity differs too. That does not auger well for other readings.

Easy to set up, looks good. Good display, and easy to read. Didnt know you need an adapter for a 2 pin plug, so we had to buy that. But other than that, it's great.

No hassle with installation, screen clear and precise. Tested it prior to sending out as a gift and think they will be over the moon
