Praiseworthy development
I feel that this is a rather better book than “Man Enough”, interesting and useful though that work is. Much of the basic material is the same, but the book is designed for boys over the age of eleven, rather than adults, which seems to lend it a more measured and calm tone than that of the earlier work, without losing any of the author’s commitment to his topic – indeed, possibly rendering it more digestible. As in his first book, Justin Baldoni courageously uses his own past youthful experiences, which were sometimes embarrassing and even painful for him, to illustrate his ideas. This is commendably helpful to a young and unsophisticated reader, who may be just about to embark on the occasional traumas of teenage life. The realisation that a now rather glamorous and successful adult once suffered many of the horrors of adolescence, felt them as horrors, and yet survived, must be encouraging.Baldoni writes tenderly and very consciously of the vulnerability and sensitivities of his young readers. I wish his book had been available when my own sons were youngsters – a long time ago. He discusses topics that a parent might find difficult to talk about, and which some sons might not indeed be over-delighted to have a parent bring up. Of course, many current adolescents think they know a great ideal more about sex that their elder relatives do, and they may well be right. The book deals sensibly and coolly with pornography, again more composedly than “Man Enough” does.I hope it isn’t patronising to detect the influence of a wise wife and a good therapist in “Boys Will Be Human”; the author himself pays tribute to both. This is an unusual book in several ways and shows praiseworthy development in the writer. I hope there is more to come.

Boys Will Be Human
I got this book for my 13 year old son, boys feel shy talking about some topics with their moms at this age. My son is very picky about reading certain stuff, but he really loved this book.As a single parent, I found this book brilliant.
