Great DAC
The SMSL D400ES DAC has everything I need in terms of input and output and it sounds very very good. Of course if you don’t need the I2S or AES inputs then you can save $300 and get the SU-9 pro. But with that being back ordered, I just got the D400ES. It has a nice finish as well. I did have an issue with the input level being low on occasion but SMSL sent me a firmware update promptly to take care of it. I can confidently recommend this DAC.

Fine, but not better
Like most well done modern DACS, works fine. No defects, no complaints, but no better than my $200 Topping DX3pro+ or $100 JDS atom+. Remote was a bit "stronger" than the Topping. If you need a balanced DAC with all the modern features, a good choice as is the Sabaj. I only play Redbook and single ended output.

Sounded excellent, but XMOS ASIO driver for windows keeps stuttering & buffering
Excellent build quality. Excellent sounding, when it worked.Couldn't get it to work with windows 10 flawlessly. ASIO driver has bugs. WASAPI limits t0 512kHz DSD instead of 768. May work fine with a Mac, I didn't test.Unfortunately, I had to return.

PLUSY:- świetne brzmienie- piękne wykonanie, naprawdę mega solidne, ożebrowane radiatory na bokach w kolorze czarnym dodają sznytu i nie są tam bez powodu - po całym dniu grania odbierają sporo ciepła- bardzo dobry i czytelny wyświetlacz- jakość na wyjściu XLR ponadprzeciętna- możliwość zwiększenia napięcia wyjściowego- prawie niesłyszalne przejścia utworów na DSD (problem wielu tanich DAC, tzw. "cyknięcia"- wyraźne różnicowanie jakości plików źródłowych, co świadczy o jakości DAC.MINUSY- nieco szumiący zasilacz, ale to niestety standard w tej klasie cenowej (obecnie), stosowane są powszechnie zasilacze impulsowe i mimo zaawansowanej filtracji w tym modelu na stacjonarnym sprzęcie wysokiej klasy da się to usłyszeć (ale mój DAC pracuje w parze z niewielkimi studyjnymi aktywnymi monitorami KRK, gdzie problem nie występuje)

Eccellente Dac
Rispetta tutte le caratteristiche dichoarate. Di buona costruzione, suono cristallino ,d'altronde l'Ess sabre 9039MSPRO non ha bisogno di presentazioni.

Good Quality DAC with extensive inputs. Can sound a little bright but very detailed.
Purchased this DAC at a Good price from Amazon Supplier. I have used SMSL DACs before and the sound quality from newer units has improved in the last year I believe.The selection of inputs is very good. Quality of Build also very good too.I was using this as a DAC output on a IFI Neo streamer using the I2S connection as the pin configuration is directly compatible.I found the Sound Quality very Precise with a bit of depth to the soundstage and frequency response good across the listening Spectrum, however the treble can be a bit bright and edgy with some types of music . I have subsequently relocated the unit to a different system as I found something sounding somewhat better from SMSL at around the same price.
