Excellent detector of beta, gamma and X radiation at a great price.
Long battery life and measured background radiation matches expectation for my geographic area. The data storage capability is quite useful as well. I have not tested this device using calibrated beta, gamma and X-ray sources, but I suspect that the performance would be pretty good. Note that these types of detectors generally do not measure alpha or neutron radiation. I purchased this device for testing for residual radiation in building materials and antique plate glaze and I am very satisfied.

Let’s go find some radium lume!
Got this at the right price to check whether any of the watches I’ll be working on have radium in the lume. The model has been updated since some of the reviews I read, it now has a USB-C socket for charging and connectivity. I did a quick check when I received the Geiger counter by waving it over a few watches and, sure enough, it could tell the difference between modern lume and that nasty radium stuff. It is quite configurable and just so you know - the GM tube is at the top of the unit, above the display, not to the right where the nuclear emblem is…

Very good product but not very good instructions
I dislike there is no app for the phone it have no Bluetooth No waterproof instructions a joke , NO ESTANDARD USB PORT. I LIKE a lot features in one device , battery life is very good even in negative degrees -5⁰ Tested, tube inside can be change but you have to know what are you doing , can be set in the wall it come measure guide For 79£ I can't ask for more Other device will charge you twice I forgot my favourite feature is power saving but if you put headphones you can hear they device working clicks Is comes Recomend yo buy more advance device to keep standby when this one detect too much radiation . Life expectancy for this devices is 2+ years in heavy use but as I said you can change de tube sensor soo this device can be use for much longer also put ptlrotection to waterproof it but only will measure gamma like that actually measures better and gamma no alpha but I'm not 100% sure they don't provide this info.

works as expected as good as the higher prices ones.
works as expected. you don't get A measurement at this price range of course, but this is not much different to the GMC500 plus really, it reads and graphs pretty much the same without useless features like wifi etc.

A useful yet uncomplicated gadget
Walked around my town for an hour and a half in the evening accumulating about 20 millisieverts; delighted to know I don't live in Fallout and will be in the know if Putin or Xi go full Strangelove on us.

Great device
I bought it to check residual radiation in irritated stones. I was also interested in the background radiation in my stone built house. It sounds the alarm when I put an old gas mantle near it. Easy to use .

Very good piece of kit everyone should own
You could spend way more and not be getting much more for your money. This does what it should and could one day save your life if things went really wrong.
