The box says "place some under your tongue if you are brave" now then, my mother didn't raise a whimp and when a box sets a challenge, I can't refuse! So under the tongue some was placed- with instant regret! My taste buds screamed "why are we eating frehly-laid tar mac?!" Whereas my brain decided to send every emotion possible to my face, all at once! Brilliant stuff. Highly recommend. The reason I highly recommend is because, once I got through the taste of what can only be described as a combination between licking a mucky rock and the smell of tar mac, my energy surged! I felt like I was firing on all cylinders- concentration levels went up, a nice sense of well-being overcome me, and all day I didn't yawn! And I'm a professional yawner. Bearing in mind that you only use the tiniest amount- it just goes to show that it's not size that matters! Try some, but perhaps don't go with the challenge of putting some directly in your mouth! Stir some in your morning coffee for an all day energy boost!

Having used the full jar here are my findings; I would say it was on par with more expensive ones, although more runny and more bitter. Positives: slight increase in strength, stamina and drive/motivation at the gym, decrease in fat and increase in muscle (with training). Negatives: Increased sex drive, taste (although i kinda like the fact it tastes so bitter - makes me think its potent stuff!) ,gave me slight headache when taking everyday (heavy metals?). I ended up reducing dosage from daily to 3 days a week because i found it difficult to relax and concentrate with the increased sex drive. At 3 doses a week i found i could controll my lower mind better. I used as i wanted to rapidly increase strength and mass and lose body fat and it worked for me, combined with a vegan diet to maximize testosterone i was actually suprised! Dont forget to hit helpful!

I was looking for something natural to help me ease in to my move to Spain from the UK, I have 2 small children and knew the transition would be hard. Mountain Blood had been recommended for it's numerous benefits by another yogi friend, and in all honesty I was intrigued by its reputation as super food. At this point in my life, I was looking for something to help with stress or anxiety, I had already researched that Shilajit is an adaptogen enabling us to deal with stress better, so I wanted to try. I am a very healthy person so was not looking for any immediate relief of ailments/injury. I am very in-tuned with my body and am a great lover of the earth, I am a yogi and I practice reiki and use crystal healing on my family. In the past I have been disappointed by 'natural remedies' that make claims for helping with such a plethora of ailments. And am skeptical but willing to try. I have not been disappointed with Mountain Blood at all, I could tell simply from the first sip the I was going to love it. The smell of the shilajit is very earthy, I could feel immediately that this was an Ayurvedic supplement, if I had had on a blind fold and knew nothing about its reputation I would have just known. I mixed mine with warm coconut milk and immediately felt a great sense of comfort within me. I have a very strong connection as I take a moment to centre myself before yoga or before using crystals and reiki where my heart beats very fast for a minute or so, it is a deep sign to me that I am making a connection with something ancient and healing, and after that minute passes comes deep peace. That is EXACTLY the feeling I got as I took my first sips of my warm mixture, I felt like I was making a significant connection with not only the earth but the past, and that that connection was going to heal/calm/energize my body where ever it needed healing/peace/rejuvenation. There is no doubt in my mind that is the real deal for all sorts of issues! And I have JUST seen an amazing article about it in my monthly yoga magazine which has only highlighted that my intuition about this potent little pot of goodness is right! AND its going to help me with my yoga too though energy and muscle repair, amazing! This will be in my diet every day now...I feel like I can now eliminate some of the other products that I had invested in as they are all rolled into this one little jar! Ah, my only initial issue was how hard it is at room temp and really gauging if I am using the right amount. But then I watched a little video clip on Nature Provides showing me how to mix it in, and it works really well! I LOVE IT!!!

I'm so glad this product is finally available on Amazon.se! Until now, I’d been ordering it directly from Nature Provides in the UK, but the import duties made it a lot more expensive. So being able to order it now with free shipping on Amazon is great (you get free shipping if you’re a Prime member). I did try a few other brands here on Amazon, but found their quality was lacking. Those other brands tend to add other ingredients (basically cheaper fillers that they use to stretch their products and make it feel like you’re getting more), so they’re not always pure, and often don’t mention where their particular blends of Shalajit come from. So, what I really love about Nature Provides ”Mountain Blood” Shilajit is that it’s 100% pure, and also independently tested. Their Shalajit is sourced from Siberia (known to be cleaner and higher quality than the stuff sourced from places like India, Bhutan or Pakistan—often in less than ideal conditions, where they can even contain heavy metals or other junk). So the fact that this one is independently tested makes a huge difference to me. My preferred way of taking it is to add a small scoop to my morning tea (Earl Grey, along with a lot of honey), normally on the mornings that I go to the gym. I find that it gives me an extra boost that helps my body recover from my workouts more quickly. I’ve especially noticed the difference the few times when I forgot to take it! Highly recommend.
