E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial: The Classic Illustrated Storybook (Pop Classics)

when I saw this on Amazon, I immediately added it to the cart because this is one of my favorite childhood movies. I loved the opportunity to share this movie and book form to my daughter with the cute illustrations. Art style in this book is adorable and the storyline is accurate to the movie. I’m glad it was spark Interest for my daughter and I hope one day when I show her the movie, she will love it too.

This is a really cute re-telling of the story from the film. It is made for young audiences and skips past some materials in the movie which are sometimes too much scary for children. For example, in this book E.T. spends the day at home exploring the house, but doesn't drink beer, nor does Elliott release the frogs due to his psychic intoxication. Also, E.T. is not caught by the government and does not 'die' before the ship returns to Earth to pick him up. The illustrations and great and make E.T and everyone look really cute. Pick this up to introduce your young child to E.T. before they are ready for the actual movie.

Great book , exactly like the movie , very nicely illustrated!

I was so impressed with how closely this book followed the movie. E.T. was one of my favorites growing up, and I wanted to introduce it to my 3 year old son. The book tells the story with beautiful illustrations, and simplicity without losing any important details. It also smartly kept out the parts about E.T. and Elliot being drunk, or how sick they got making it friendly for kids of all ages. This is one of my sons favorite gifts and he loves telling everyone he knows the story of E.T. Highly recommended.

Bought this for my granddaughters 5th birthday. She watches the movie all the time. She loves me to read it to her and loves looking at the pictures!

This book is AMAZING!!!!! All the best scenes perfectly illustrated with the best details included!! I love that the text is simple to read to a child at bedtime, unlike other book versions of movies we bought recently that have paragraphs of text on each page. That’s just too much for even my attention span! This is probably my favorite Children’s book ever, and I’ve read quite a few as a teacher. Of course ET is one of my favorite movies of all time but this is the perfect book version of it! Now I can’t wait to see what others have been made in the Pop classics collection too! Sooo completely well done!

This is a fantastic children's homage to a classic film. The pictures are colorful and engaging for kids. They picked the perfect amount of scenes to tell the story of E.T. that are so memorable not only to us adults but to my 2 1/2 year old that recognized each memorable scene. I thoroughly enjoy reading it to my son as much as my son enjoys me reading it to him. Highly recommended!

Beautiful book ✨

I bought this book for the illustrations, didn’t really care for ET or even watch it as a kid. BUT this book is so well-done, the illustrations are 10/10, and the way it’s simplified/written is perfect for my 3 year old!
