Have ordered several of these flashlights for myself and for family. Super helpful that you can have the flash ahead while it also illuminates the ground in front of you for safe walking.

We live this. Bright. Multi-functional. Lightweight. Just what I need walking dogs at night. Great value. My whole family bought one.

This is a nice flashlight. It's not overly bright but bright enough for around the house or yard or to walk the dog. It will light up the immediate area around you without blinding any oncoming cars or people. I like how it can shine forward and downward at the same time. It would have been nice though if you could shine it forward without the downward, though you can shine it downward without the forward. Also a glow in the dark stripe or marking would have been nice to help find it in the dark. And the screw on battery cover sap on the bottom doesn't tighten real well, it can make the light flicker when loose, you have to re-tighten often. Overall though a useful flashlight for the money.

The design is excellent, it’s light and combat while still durable. I love that I don’t need to carry around a flashlight and a lantern because the lantern mode on this is very bright and works great. I was pleasantly surprised by how light weight it is and that it’s weather resistant. I’ve used this numerous times as we are moving our fall decor into our attic and taking out our Christmas decor. I love the convenience of being able to easily carry this around, especially when doing heavy lifting. Only con is the flashlight mode is not as bright as some of the heavy flashlights I’ve tried, but it still does the job. The battery life lasts a long time too which is great. I originally received this product for testing purposes, but I really love it and plan to purchase another to keep for around the house!

I bought this flashlight primarily for walking the dog on a nearby bike trail. The flashlight is not super bright, the beam only provides good illumination about 20 feet up the trail but that's more than sufficient for my use. If the batteries last anywhere near the 60 hour rated capacity, it'll last me all season on a set of batteries (I think it makes a good tradeoff between brightness and battery life). A small area-light (dimmer than the main area light) comes on with the flashlight beam to light the area below the flashlight, it works reasonably well at illuminating the area near your feet when you're aiming the flashlight up the trail, but the really nice feature for me is that if I aim the flashlight down at the ground, then this area light is clearly visible from the rear, so any approaching bikes behind me will see it. The light seems relatively rugged, I've dropped it from waist height a few times while fumbling with the dog leash and the light hasn't suffered any ill effect. This would also make a good power-failure light, the area light gives decent illumination of my large livingroom room, it lights up the entire room more than enough for comfortable walking around, and when sitting on the table, gives enough light for easy reading nearby. The area light is rated for 120 hours of runtime on a set of batteries.

I just received my flashlight today and I really like it. Firstly, I need to thank "dc-in-md" for his very informative and well written review. He sent it into Amazon last October. If he hadn't included a detailed picture of what the bottom end of this light should look like with the batteries properly inserted I would have been lost. The black screw-on cap had symbols to supposedly show me how to put the batteries into the handle. All of those symbols confused me, so I had the flashlight loaded & lit in no time flat using his photo instead!! I think this is a very nice flashlight and it's going to work just fine in a power failure. It's very bright and I am sure the battery life will match their claim, as they advertised. It's comfortable to hold and use and I don't need it to be any tougher than it is right now. I only need to light up the spaces inside of my apartment and not to beat anything with it. The lamp feature is so nice to brighten a room for doing what needs to be done in case of darkness. I think it is a very nice flashlight that will be quite useful to me. I'm impressed with Energizer for it's product and great batteries.

Initial review Seems like good build quality from the outside. All the 4 batteries get inserted in the same direction which is great and easy to do in the dark. Can confirm it runs on either 2 or 4 aa batteries. Currently testing how long they will last on the 4 batteries that came with it in the package. It has nice features of magnetic base, easy to find button and has enough ridges to keep it from rolling away easy even thought it’s mostly cylindrical. Only complaint I have so far is the modes. It’s not clearly explained. First click is both spot and flood light on lower lumens. Second click is a very bright flood light. Third click is red blinking side light. And fourth click is red blinking side light on the SOS Morse code. I wish it had one more mode of just the front spot light. Kind of weird you have to use it with the spot and flood all the time.

I love this flashlight because of the added side light. I bought one over a year ago and decided to buy a second one for my car.

I wanted a flashlight for the car and this one fits the bill perfectly. It has multiple modes, so it can be used as a flashlight, a mini lantern if you have to change a tire or add air, and a flashing red strobe in case you ever break down at the side of the road at night. A must have in my opinion. It even has a flat magnetic base so it stands on its own or can stick to the top or side of the car if needed. Would also be great at home during a power outage when used handsfree in lantern mode in the kitchen, bathroom, etc. Protip: If kept in the car, use lithium batteries (rechargable) so they will last longer when unused and withstand broad temperature changes better.

Have a strong magnetic strength that can be attached to the car's hood if you want to check something in the engine.

Received this flashlight for my daughter’s use when we go camping. Received quickly we loaded the batteries (they thankfully come with them) and it works really well we tested it out in our backyard amongst the trees and path. Works great. Nice and bright. Good value at the price also
