Sturdy and solid
Impressed, the level is sturdy and hefty. Needed something that I can hammer on with a rubber mallet, and this fits well. No complaints!

This level came flopping around in a large box with a small piece of paper for "packaging materials". The level is straight and it reads correctly in every orientation except the one in the picture. It's unknown if the issue is related to manufacturing or shipping, but the latter is certainly suspect.I am returning it for a hopefully – well – packaged replacement.I will update as soon as I have the new level.Update: The replacement level showed up in an even bigger, even emptier box with a perfectly level-sized hole in one end. It too, was inaccurate. Crappy quality control? Possibly. Crappy shipping department? Definitely.

This thing is heavy
This level is beautiful, something I normally like in a tool. However, it weighs a ton. It never occurred to me this would matter a lot in a level, but I knew it was an impractical weight as soon as I picked it up. I am keeping it because I really like the bamboo beam it is made out of, but it will probably not get used any place but ground level.
