I was pleased to see that this pair of stools was exactly like the seller's own display images. The few parts needed were packed inside a stout cardboard box with plenty of polystyrene to keep it all safe in transit. I can report there was no marks, scratches or other type of blemish when I unpacked it. Assembly - good instruction booklet, not much to put together at all, but it was not easy fixing the footrest ring to the legs. The legs do need to be teased to line up with the holes in the ring, and then comes the issue of getting the long screw to thread. Once you have done that, well, it is simple. However, one pair of hands is not enough for this part of the job unless you follow my hint below: Hint - I found it easiest to pull out my own collection of Allen keys and push one into each hole on the footrest ring and then push those into the screw holes in the legs. That way you at least have a good approximation of where the holes line up and the ring stays in place. One at a time when I was ready to screw in a bolt, I shone a torch into the hole and just needed to pull the leg a few mm to get it lined up and ready for the bolt. The first stool I put together really took an age to bolt the ring footrest on and I needed at least another pair of hands, but even then it wouldn't have been easy to perfectly align the holes. So using extra Allen keys (or anything slim enough to just push in and hold the ring in place ready) with a torch to light up inside the holes in the ring and line up the leg holes was definitely the best way. It took some time but worked. I am sure if you follow this "hint" you won't experience the problems I encountered with the first stool and your assembly will be complete in no time. Each stool stood flat on my floor, no rocking, all quite safe. If you are going to sit on these for an extended period I would suggest investing in a pair of padded stool cushions (available from Amazon) just to add to the comfort. I will recommend this pair of stools because they are sturdy and do the job intended but just bear in mind you will need a little bit of patience to bolt on the footrest ring so that the whole unit stays safe and secure. Since this ring does seem to be the main support of the stool it is advised to take some time over fitting it properly.

Used for a breakfast bar. I have other Hoobro furniture so it all goes nicely. Was ok to assemble and are rather sturdy. Bit smaller than I thought. Services a purpose.

Much nicer in real life. Really well packaged so no scratches or damage. Every part is numbered with a small sticker so you really can't go wrong putting it together. Instructions very clear, even Includes an allen key. Very pleased!

The stools came in a seemingly smallish box, and I wondered how two stools could come out of it, but actually they assemble ok. There were no significant difficulties apart from getting the screw holes to line up, which they did eventually. They look quite good actually, and now that I no longer need them as stools, I'm using them to hold potted plants :D
