iPhone does work if you setup and connect in app
I’m changing my review completely from one star to 5 stars , my deepest apologies to the seller , I originally wrote it was a complete one star worthy failure, but one day I really went over the instructions, which is a must if you want flawless hookups and connecting , I got the car scanner app and I got the good paid version, not only does this work, it works very well with iOS , I have an iPhone 11 and an iPad 13 , it hooks up instantly after you follow the initial instructions, you simply cannot try to hook it up via Bluetooth like you would with android, you have to just make sure your Bluetooth is turned on but when you install the app you have to open up the app and then app settings, then you choose your device and set up within the app and set all your parameters and make your desired settings and then hit connect , it took me a couple tries to get it right but it was more my error than the device or app , so after I got it running smooth with the app it is the best device I’ve used so far and especially for the money , all in all you simply have to read the instructions well ( they work ) and set up and connect through the app and your iPhone won’t be a problem, it works just fine if you connect through the app and not have your head in your butt like I did initially and all the other bad iPhone reviews which were most likely human error like me , go for it , it’s a 5 star piece especially for $20

The software is a joke, literally
I plus in the unit and fire up the app. After three tries, it connects to my Bluetooth. But then I get a box "Detecting Protocol" that will not go away. I go to put in my car information and get a year box, and a vehicle box. Do you think they can list the cars in alphabetical order? No. I'm scrolling all over the list and I see "Great Wall", and "Clown". The Devs thought that was funny I guess? How about making it easier for a user?I finally get through this and hit scan and all I get is "Loading" that never goes away. So I put in my VIN number in the vehicle identification section, but it locks up. In fact nearly everything I do, it locks up. Plus I don't see a way to save the vehicle information in the settings! This is junk and it's infuriating to work with. I normally wouldn't care about $16, but I'm pissed off now and I'm going to make them take a return.

saved me time and money
This little OBD2 scanner is a lifesaver! My check engine light came on and I was dreading a trip to the mechanic. I plugged this scanner in, connected it to my phone with Turbo, and it quickly diagnosed the problem. Turns out it was just a loose gas cap!I was really impressed with how easy the app was to use. It showed me the error code and explained what it meant in plain English. I was able to clear the code and my check engine light hasn't come back on.This scanner is a great tool to have, especially for simple issues. It definitely saved me time and money.

Works Great but you need to know
This ELM327 (OBDII) tester works great but does not work like the previous version worked. When setting it up in Torque you must select the device by theMAC address otherwise I could not get it to work. Once I selected the new device in Torque it ran without issue. I was going to return mine but foundifmanually selected in Torque it works great. Torque will not find the new device type. Otherwise it works identical to the old larger devices. Good Luck!

DOA will not connect. EDIT
I didn't need this item right at the moment of shipping so past my 30 day return window.Device powers on and can be seen on Bluetooth items, however cannot connect to it from multiple devices, neither pin 1234 or 0000 is working. No way to get in touch with the sellerEDIT: Leaving the review for others to find. I found if you have had a previous one connected to your phone, you had to go back to your connected list and delete completely from the phone. Only then will this connect.

Refuses to connect…
This adapter refuses to connect to ANY of the apps I’ve tried, including the one recommended in the manual. The only way it will show “connected”, is with the ignition completely off. In accessory or run positions, it just shows “connecting” and never changes. If I get it to connect when the ignition is completely off, it immediately disconnects when the ignition is turned on. I had high hopes, but am ultimately disappointed. I’m using iOS and the vehicle is a 2024 2500 Silverado High Country, with the Duramax 6.6. Not sure if that matters.
