This was purchased to charge dewalt batteries. The dewalt charger was stupid priced so we decided to try this out instead. It has worked great so far.

Just as good as the name brand. A great value. It does what I need at a great price.

THE 40v Battery packs plenty of power, on par with a gas powered trimmer.

This POS Didn't work from day one. One of the two charger ports charged but the other wouldn't--it just showed a constant red light. I tried that port with several different batteries none would charge. Immediately after being on that side (the non-working side), a 5AH battery stopped working. In fact, the third or fourth time I tried to charge with this double charger, neither charging port would work--one port stayed solid red and the other side blinked red and green simultaneously. The 5AH battery I believe was ruined by this charger had worked fine before going on this charger and now wont charge on any other charger. One white light on the battery is lit but it wont power any tools. I believe this charger ruined the battery. Further more, the charger is just cheap feeling. Its vey light for a double charger the plastic just feels flimsy. I had planned to return this charger shortly after I used it for the first time about a week after it arrived. However, being in the middle of renovating an old house I just got busy with a hectic schedule and one thing led to another and I didn't get around to returning it for several more weeks. By that time (almost five weeks after it arrived), the return period had expired and here I am telling people what total garbage this charger is. I buy lots of tools from Amazon and usually have great luck. However, this double charger is definitely not worth the aggravation.

one side doesn't work properly or maybe the charging status indicator doesn't work properly; red light flashes even when the battery is fully charged (the LED indicator lights on batteries shows the battery is fully charged). Using two batteries 20V 3500mAh Lithium Ion with this charger. Considering of returning this one as the charging status indicator is misleading
