I bought these thinking that I can easily just get them cut at a Home Depot or Lowes that still have older style key cutters - Nope My car is a 2010 Honda Crosstour These keys are "laser cut" - which doesn't mean that are actually cut by lasers, but need a special cutting machine that first identifies the key bitting, compares the bitting based on make and year of your car .. and then makes a new key based off the code, vs simply duplicating the groves which may be worn down. These require locksmiths to cut - the local locksmith charged $30 ea. This is part of the description, but there's more. THEN You need to BOTH pair the keys transmitter AND the transceiver to the car transmitter allows to lock and unlock remotely, You can do this with the help of Youtube. Transceiver allows the key work with the car engine - without this step, the key will turn and start the engine, but the engine will immediately stop. This is also a locksmith job ($50) and not something you can learn to do from youtube videos as it required special hardware plugging into the OBD. In the end these replacement keys worked .. but I had to spend $110 more to get them cut AND programmed.
