This product was really easy to use, the size of the box meant that I could lift it and spread it without having to transfer to a spreader (although this would have been more accurate). Due to the dry spells recently, I watered the product a couple of times to give it the best chance of working. Within a week the weeds had blackened and I was able to rake getting rid of visible weeds. Although with some stubborn weeds one might need a couple of applications. My grass is looking green, is growing fast and is definitely an improvement to what I had before. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that the product did leave some bare patches, it would have been good if it also filled the patches left by the weeds. I have since used Canada Grass seed on small patches which has worked well. I will use this product again.

While the grass has gone greener over the 4 weeks since I used this product, there are still weeds everywhere. My lawn is full of patches because of pulling out weeds, therefore I was after a product that would make existing grass greener and prevent weeds from growing. As per instructions, you cannot seed within the 8 weeks of using this, which prevented me from reseeding the patches - the wait would have been worth it if there were no weeds, but there are still!! Product does only 50% of what it says on the box hence the 3 stars (I would give it 2.5 if possible). I could have used any other fertiliser that allowed me to seed in the meantime... In summary, don’t buy if you are interested in getting rid of weeds!

Before use, my lawn was mostly moss, and generally would be yellow during the sunny weather. I had initially thought that I had to returf the garden, but wanted to try something a little cheaper first. Im glad I discovered this product as I am quite happy with the results.While a bit tricky to measure out if applying by hand, you can figure it out with a bit of a mathematical approach, and get the hang of it fairly quickly. (I only had one patch of slight bald grass due to over dosing the product onto the grass) A spreader would be good if you have a big garden or are not sure on how to work out the dosage- dosage is important!After a few days from application, there was very little rain, so I used a sprinkler attachment on my hose to water in the product. You quickly start to see the moss going black, and realise just how much of the lawn is moss. After 2 weeks, I then used a rake to pull out as much of the dead moss as I could, cut the grass and then let it breathe for a bit. A week or so later I put down some grass seed, and despite the birds having a feast on it, some of it has managed to take.The overall result is a much lusher, greener lawn, with no weeds and no mushrooms anymore! Full effect can take upto 6 weeks to see, so I am hopeful that it will continue to improve. The best bit is we still have most of the box left (we have quite a small grass area). So there will be enough for a further application this year if required or even for next year.It is worth stressing that using this product is not instant, but you will see results over time, particularly if treating bald spots with grass seed too.

New shady area turf laid in winter with good fertiliser preparation so this was used as summer top up.Spread by hand using metre poles as I went to get spread about right ( don't see absolute accuracy as necessary). Lawn is lovely green colour and no weeds have appeared, moss patches disappeared.Will give second treatment later and prepare it for winter.

Did the job and vastly improved the lawn. Thickens and gave much more quality.
