Del Monte, Sliced Beets, 14.5oz Can (Pack of 6)

The beets are always good. Service is prompt and securely packaged. The number of cans per package has been reduced and they price has gone up!

I am a little concerned about what is happening in the US in the past year. I stocked 12 cans of fruit, vegetables, potatoes and beans. I added a small amount of pantry items as well. I am leary. So the price was a little high but I choose not to drive because of medication. It was easier, thank you.

Disappointed. Taste a little bitter like maybe they were older or storage beets. Local grocery brand is better. Of course nothing is like right out of the garden.

The problem with beets is that they take forever to cook. With the Del Monte beets, that’s not an issue; I just flip the top open (nice feature) and voila, they’re ready to add to my salads. These are great also because they taste like the fresh ones!

Raw beets are a pain to prepare. But these canned beets meet the high quality of taste I love them.

All but one can was badly dented. I should have taken them out of the carton as soon as I got them but I figured they were fine staying in them. Bad idea, they'll have to be trashed. I'll never buy canned vegies online again. This also happened to my Del Monte Spinach (those were also rusted). This is a shame.
