Fun Ten Frames Activity for Home Schooling or Preschool Small Groups!
As a preschool/PreK teacher I am always looking for interactive ways that will engage my students, these are exactly what I was looking for:What I love:The pieces are very bright, and easy for preschoolers to hold and manipulate. The shapes are super cute, and interesting “child-friendly” shapes like apples, cars, flowers, circles, hearts, and stars. This is great for teaching some basic shapes too. The magnetic ten frame boards have coordinating colors to the magnets, which are super bright and appealing colors and great for using in small groups, to track who is using which set. These are perfect for small group teaching activities, since my groups have about 6 children at a time in them anyways. This activity helps children make connections with counting numbers using one to one correspondence, since children can count them, and the number square helps them track when they count. The magnets stick nicely to the 10 frames, and the boards stick well to both magnetic white boards and magnetic chalkboard surfaces, even fridges with magnetic surfaces, if you want to have your preschooler practice this at home. There is blank space on the 10 frame cards to write numbers, and for more advanced students, number sentences, which is great to help students learn to correlate numbers they are saying with the number they counted. It is really nice that they included an extra magnet of each shape, in case my little ones lose them. : )The set includes 4 slim markers with attached erasers which are really easy to use and erase. I would probably have wanted two more markers, just because there are 6 ten frames set, and only 4 markers for four sets, but not a problem for me because I am having my students use my “fat” dry erase markers because they are easier for my little ones to hold. (I can use these, and will give them the other markers, this way I can write the number with the thin marker if they need to trace a number or write out a number sentence.)I really like the ten frames as an intro set for my little ones. To extend on this I would probably purchase another set, so that if I have students who are more advanced, I can stack 2 cards together to practice counting to 20.Overall I highly recommend this set! I love that we can do this at the carpet in a small group and then students can work together collaboratively at the board, and because pieces are magnetic, they are super easy to use, and less easy for the children to lose the pieces.Hope you get a chance to try this out, because it is a fun way to introduce then frames with little ones!

Good quality educational material
The material is definitely superb and durable. My son enjoy this a lot because the card size is enough that he is able to count the items properly. The shapes and color are definitely nicely cut and colored which makes it simple yet attractive for the kids.

Perfect math manipulative for kids
I homeschool my 6 year old grandson. He doesn't really like school and we have to work with him to keep him interested in anything. These manipulatives were perfect. I especially love that one of the magnet sets is of cars. That is his favorite. We spent a good bit of time this morning making all kinds of games with these. He would roll a dice and whatever the number was that he rolled would be the number of magnets he would put in his ten square. Then he would roll another number and add those. Then he would write the equation at the bottom. We also had him load up the ten square, roll, and take away the number of magnets he rolled for subtraction. Later we used the squares on the boards to practice letter writing. We did missing letters, or he would match the lower case to the capital, etc. Lots of markers with built in erasers, magnet tiles in hearts, circles, cars, stars, flowers, etc. Even the ten square boards are magnetic so he can sit at his desk or work on the fridge or in the office on the filing cabinet. I can't wait to see what all we come up with.

Perfect for my preschool girl
I’m preparing my little girl for kindergarten next year. So I’m trying to teach her shapes recognition, how to count up to ten and some basic adding. This set was a perfect tool for me. It came with 6 boards, which is good if you have more kids to teach. It also has 6 different types of shapes (ten of each one) , they are easy to handle and they stick really well into the white board. The dry eraser markers work well too. Overall great quality , the boards are sturdy and the magnets are well made. And the price is good too.

Teacher's favorite!
I teach first grade and am always looking for new and engaging materials to use with my students. These magnetic ten frame sets are just perfect! Not only are the foam shapes bright and appealing to youung kids, but the magnets on them are strong enough to hold well, but not so strong that they are not easily removed. The yen frames are also magnetic so I can place them on my whiteboard for "scoots" or centers. The markers are not very useful, the caps are a little difficult for the students to take on and off (many first graders lack this fine motor control) but I just used them for something else and the students used the erasable markers we already had in class. I would recommend this ten-frame set, and it would make a good gift for any preschool, kindergarten or first grade teacher.
