Replaced Timer version with Basic version due to cracked fan blade
Replaced after around 4 years of service after fan blade cracked. You can't replace just the fan blade alone so repurchased the 100b extractor unit. Unit that was removed was the timer version. Fairly good on electricals so isolated and replaced the item myself. Good thing is that you just unclip and take the unit straight out of the duct for maintenance. Re-wire from Timer arrangement to basic on/off switching no problem, up and running. The cracked fan had a fair bit of dirt/dust build up so note to self to inspect/clean at least once a year. Quiet running and good air sucking at a good price . All good

Still going after 8 years
Been running two of these for about 8 years now - still going fine - quiet and way more extraction than std. bathroom fans, if space available

Excellent quality ventilator fan
I required a replacement fan for a bathroom ventilation installation in my attic. The old fan had burnt out after many years service, but rest of the installation was fine. The Airflow Aventa AV100T Timer Fan cost no more than a complete kit which I didn't need. This fan is a quality item in terms of design, build, ease of installation and operation. The fan module is held in a separate removable cradle, which makes mounting it very easy. Having screwed the mounting in place and attached the ducts, I wired the fan module in a convenient position, and then slotted the fan into the cradle and secured it with the 2 snap on retainers. In operation the fan is quiet and powerful, the 'run on' timer can be set for nominally 2 to 30 mins. (Make sure you adjust it to 2 mins for testing, mine arrived set to 30mins (which I didn't realise until the run-on ran on, and on, and on...) after 10 mins I switched off, reset to minimum run-on and tested again; 1 min 55secs. I initially wired mine for maximum speed, intending to adjust if it was too noisy, but from the bathroom directly below the fan in the attic, the fan is barely audible, whilst the airflow through the vent is excellent. Definitely recommended.

Nice fan with good airflow and fairly quiet
I use this as part of a home made home air ciculation setup. This fan pushes warm air from the upper most position at the top of my house down in to the north side living room downstairs. The different is amazing. I used to need to put the electric fire on or even the central heating on just to warm the living room up in the eveing, even during those not so warm summer evenings. We would usually end up with the to of the house too warm just to try to keep the living room comfortable. The problem is solved and I'm looking forward to vastly reduced gas bills. I have set this to be in the lower setting, which is adeqaute and quite enough. The wiring instructions were a bit confusing as far as I can remember (one of the diagrams seems different to another), but after studying it for several minutes it becomes clear. Either speed can be set without having to buy any separate switch - It just means that you need to hard wire the correct connection in the terminals inside the unit and stick with the speed you need. The terminal connections are quite small so it was a bit tricky.

Good product, smooth install.
Well made fan and easy to install as long as you have good basic knowledge of house electrics. The only gripe is that the instructions state that the fan will default to running for 15 minutes after the lights power off but mine timed-out after just under 2 mins. So either my fan was set up incorrectly at factory or the instructions are wrong. Thankfully (for me anyway) the instructions were written fairly well (could be better though) and the wiring and timer set procedure (simply turn a potentiometer) went smoothly. The fan is quiet for the amount of air it extracts, even set at fastest speed. All in all a good product and I hope I won’t have to claim during its 2 year warranty. One star removed for the miss-configured fan and slightly vague instructions, but apart from this I’d recommend.
