It has one job and it does just that
This little box got me out of a jam as I had recently picked up a DAC/Amp that is unable to receive USB Audio Class 1 (UAC1) signals directly, but has Optical audio ports I wasn't using. This box receives UAC1 signals - see the list provided on the store page for compatible products - and converts them to either TOSLINK or Coaxial format. Both these formats are still digital audio so my expensive DAC does the actual decoding still; this is simply a passthrough adapter. Everything now works perfectly and on top of that now I don't need to disconnect my PC audio to hook up my games console's audio anymore!

Good sound, Linux compatible, I use it with Toslink output and I am very satisfied with it.
