Resqme 04.100.09 Car Escape Tool, Yellow, set of 2

I watch an amazing group of guys called “adventures with purpose “ on YouTube and Facebook and they do underwater recovery of cars. They have been selling a similar product in the US to raise funds. Unfortunately they don’t ship to the uk so I ordered these. I have family who are firefighters and they always recommend that we keep something like this in the car in case of an emergency. Either needing to cut the seatbelt or smash the window. These seem perfect. Small enough to pop onto a key ring and not lose thanks to the bright colours. For the few pounds it cost I’d rather be safe than sorry.

Tested it on a car that a friend was taking to the dump and both the window smasher and seatbelt cutter worked perfectly, and super easily. Hope I never have to use it for real, but having it on the keychain is great for that extra piece of mind when travelling.

I haven’t had reason to try this yet & hopefully never will. It feels sturdy enough to work for its intended purpose & is reassuring. One has lost its impact mechanism because I find I fiddle with it a lot! Don’t test it on your own thumb though because it really hurts!!!

Been thinking about one of these for a while, then caught a video on YT were a very large guy was trying smash a window from the inside, using the metal legs of seat head rest.. he did not do it easily (hit a corner of the window for best results). Not being as big as the guy in the video, I thought one of these each for my partner and myself would not be the worst purchase. I haven't tested it on a car window but it dented my chopping board, so I think they'll work fine. I also like the idea of zip tying it somewhere, you will always find it too (don't want it thrown to the back of the car in an accident)

I haven't tried this on my car but its good to have it the side pocket on a 'just in case' basis

Haven’t needed to use it and hopefully never will. Feels much safer having it on me than not. Only thing is the razor has gotten a bit rusty although it’s never been used. Not a big deal though.

Lo compré como medida de seguridad para llevar en el coche. Por suerte, todavía no he tenido que usarlo, pero da mucha tranquilidad saber que está ahí por si algún día hace falta. Es pequeño, ligero y se puede llevar en el llavero sin que moleste. Se ve bien hecho y resistente, y el color llamativo ayuda a localizarlo rápido.

Än så länge har inte olyckan varit framme och jag behövt använda den. Men jag har nu köpt flera av dessa, först till min egna bil men sedan även till frugan, svärmor m.fl. som sett den i min bil och bett mig skaffa åt dem. Produkten är gjord mestadels i plast men bladet är typ ett tjockare rakblad och spetsen ser ut att vara metall. Jag har min monterad i bilen nära tillhanda från förarstolen.

Der Hauptpunkt am Resqme war fuer mich, dass der Einsatz auch fuer meine Lebensgefaehrtin in einer potentiellen Stresssituation einfach sein soll. Pluspunkte: + Glasbrecher mit wenig Kraftaufwand und auch auf beengtem Raum einfach einsetzbar; man braucht nicht auszuholen oder zu schlagen. + Gurtschneider funktioniert hervorragend und einfach. + Der Gurtschneider ist im Normalzustand mit einem Clip geschuetzt; der Clip dient auch als Aufhaenger und wird so beim "Zugreifen" automatischen abgezogen. + Verschiedene, gut durchdachte Anbringungsideen integriert: beispielsweise am Innenspiegel aufgehaengt oder am Schluesselbund befestigt. + Klein und leicht - mit der entsprechenden Anbringung wird (im Gegensatz zu vielen Hammer-Glasbrechern die angeboten werden) vermieden, dass sich der Resqme beim Unfall in ein gefaehrliches Geschoss verwandelt und dann obendrein nichtmehr in der Reichweite ist. Mit einem traditionellen Glasbrecher im Hammer-Design hat sich meine Lebensgefaehrtin nicht wohl gefuehlt, da Sie die Kraft und "Entschlossenheit" das Fenster neben sich mit einem Hammer einzuschlagen nicht so recht eigens ist. Die Bedienung des Resqme hat Sie einige Male (nicht an der Scheibe) ausprobiert und traut sich das vollkommen zu. Zur Funktion: Den Resqme "drueckt" man nur mit mittelmaessigem Kraftaufwand gegen die Seitenscheibe des Fahrzeuges und der eigentliche Glasprecher wird im Gehaeuse durch das Druecken mit eine Feder gespannt bis er automatisch zustoesst. Der Gurtschneider funktioniert denkbar einfach: Gurt einfach durch den dafuer vorgesehenen Spalt mit der ingegrierten Klinge ziehen und er schneidet fast wie Butter. Den Glasbrecher habe ich an Glasflaschen getestet (nicht nachmachen oder nur mit Schutzbrille und Schnittschutzhandschuhen); der Resqme schlaegt verlaesslich und praezise die Bruchstelle in das Glas, sodass eine Seitenscheibe im Fahrzeug entsprechend zerbirst. Wichtig: Diese Art von Glasbrecher funktioniert nur an entsprechend dafuer ausgelegten Scheiben (sind die Seitenscheiben von Fahrzeugen in der Regel), nicht an laminierten Scheiben. Im Zweifelsfall auf dem Aufdruck der Seitenscheibe nachschauen, ob es laminiertes Glas ist. Kaufempfehlung fuer alle, die keinen Glasbrecher mit dem man tatsaechlich schlagen muss nutzen wollen.

Ottimo accessorio! Il Resqme 2 in 1 è leggerissimo da tenere sul portachiavi ma davvero utile: rompe i vetri e taglia le cinture in emergenza. Ben costruito, colori visibili e meccanismo affidabile. Spero di non usarlo mai, ma averlo dà molta tranquillità.
