Scalextric Back to the Future vs Knight Rider 1:32 Scale Slot car racing

Arrived on time but naff packaging being none with a Postal sticker slapped across the box. Normally I wouldn't be too phased but on this occasion I was because I didn't want the box defacing but more importantly it was a Christmas present which luckily my partner was out when I took stock of it. I managed to peel the postal label cleanly off but not without it leaving a square like raise rippled area, which I can see because I know it's there. Anyway that all aside, it doesn't affect the contents at the end of the day and the box itself was in surprisingly good condition.Internal packaging of the track, controller and cars all neat and tidy. Plug on this was the UK 3 pin plug. Assembly easy to do and it's Scalextric, pretty much push and click and move on to the next piece. The cars are great and both light up in their own way with KITT's red light on the front swishing side to side is a smile maker and nod to detail; DeLorean's flux capacitor also lights up and again, a smile maker and nod to the little details. Great to play when no lights are on/dusk type lighting. The controllers are speed variable with a sliding 'switch', which is handy depending on who's playing. The 'crash zone' can be 'oooh' or 'oh no' when you're watching your car and don't realise where the other one is until you nearly collide or make contact (don't like the contact moments) but when contact has been made, even at high speed, either car don't currently show signs of impact or any scruffs but obviously every car & crash is different and time will tell on the signs. . . .All in all it's Scalextric and arrived when it said it would and it wasn't damaged. Other than personal packaging opinion, I would recommend regardless. I feel like a kid again when playing and it went down well with my partner who loves it. Happy customer and happy recipient.

The cars are super cool and it works great, very good road holding and a lot of fun watching these iconic cars fly around the track. The disappointment is Kitts front lights fail pretty quick. Mine lasted under 10 minutes, it’s a shame as the scanner bar looks great when it’s on. Reading the reviews it looks like a common fault. Spoils an otherwise good product. Sending the car back, hopefully it’s replacement will last a little longer.

Took a little while to assemble and was played with a couple of times, would be better if it had a lap counter of some kind. The car lights are a nice feature and the quality of the set is pretty good.The downside is the track isn’t very easy to pull apart as they do fit together tightly and now you have to press down on something underneath to release as you pull the track apart, so was frightened I may damage it.

Far exceeded my expectations, this is a brilliant set with the lights making it fun to use in the dark.

Good quality and easy to assemble

I purchased the back to the future, Night rider scalextric set .I'm really not happy at all. It arrived this morning in just it's original box, not packaged at all just a postage label stuck onto it. The box is damaged and will be even more so when I have to peel the postage label off.This is a present for my son. Given how much I paid for this set I would expect it to arrive well packaged.

Got a scalectrix hand me down for my wee boy which came with cars. I got this for myself... big kid that I am!Well it is very well made, great detail and sticks to the track like glue! Furthermore the lights come on. What is not to like?

Great car flux lights up as well as front and rear lights. detail very good. Grips better than most scalextrics cars . Really good fun and put a smile on my face
