Celluma Restore | The Ultimate Red Light Therapy Device with FDA-Cleared Hair Regrowth, Anti-Aging, and Pain Relief Settings

I purchased this after getting a recommendation online from a model who said it was the best and she had tried many. I have noticed a reduction in facial blemishes (I'm 74) The small bumps (not sure what they are) are mostly gone and wrinkles have smoothed out or also gone. I did not expect such a dramatic result. Now the downside. I also got it for the hair restoration. As other reviews have correctly stated getting it to stay in place is a challenge. It CAN be done you just can't move your head for 30 minutes once you get it stabilized or it will slide off. Unlike your face where you are lying done and the brackets support the unit for the top of your head there is no support. NOT a deal breaker. I've also used it for pain management for my low back with some positive results. It does take 30 minutes for each treatment but it does auto shutoff after 30 minutes. Recommended. I got it for my hair with the face a side benefit. Turns out the face is the primary and the hair is the secondary.

I’m writing a review here as 3.8 review is way too low for this device and today I’m proof. I bought mine off eBay 2 years ago and here’s what I’ve used it for with success: My headaches no longer required pain meds, sports injuries healed in half the time, my cat liked it on her skin problem, I loaned it to my son for his shoulder pain with amazing success, I used it on my breasts for pain and pain stopped after 2 uses in one day. Genital issues? I won’t go into detail, but straddle yourself and put this on….holy cow…no more living in the bathtub due to burning urination and the banning of hydrocodone. Hemorrhoids same thing. ( I’ve had this celluma device 2 years, I’ve used it everywhere) It took me a few days to remember RLT is an anti-inflammatory device, because I was in so much genitalia pain this week. (I avoid doctors unless I’m bleeding out and I’m old and stubborn). But, my God this thing stopped the pain! I bought it for my face to lesson wrinkles. It works for the finer lines but I’m 63 and it won’t lift what bone and muscle have dropped. I have not committed to putting it on my scalp to thicken my hair, but after it healed my hemorrhoids and female irritation, I will try and report back. I frequently check the peer reviewed research on this, and learned that people who suffer from herpes, blisters, shingles and other lesion type ailments can feel better in 24 hours. Trust me, it works. Thus, this is not merely a device for lessening wrinkles or hair growth. In fact, it’s an amazing medical device for the whole family. I bought a cheaper one for a student after his back surgery and it’s speeding up his post op recovery. Is celluma durable? My cat peed on it (😵‍💫) and it worked after I cleaned and dried it and it has survived a direct coffee spill. So, for me it’s a sturdy device. Every family needs a red light therapy device. I spent 1700.00 for this on eBay—because it’s the same device used in doctors offices, and I have never regretted it as it’s already saved me several trips to ER. And this week, I dodged another ER bullet, and am posting reviews wherever I can. So grateful.

After one week of using this every other day, it caused a tension headache. Once I realized this was causing that, I ceased use. Unfortunately you're not allowed to return this even if it's under 30 days. I should add that the tension headache was two to three weeks of excruciating pain every 1-2 hours, even after I stopped using this. This may not be what will happen with you, but it did happen for me. Headaches are a rare side effect for some people with hair devices I later discovered, and I just happen to be in that minority statistic. My initial review aside from that is below. Top of the line Multi-Use Red Light Therapy Device My initial impression right out of the gate to start with before the headaches: This has three different settings for hair, face and pain/joints. The device was secure and packed well when it arrived. Initially, after first use, I found this to be difficult to easily stay on top of your head. You have to roll it just right each time so that it stays on your head. The first couple of times it wasn't staying on my head no matter how much I followed the directions and rolled it the way they show you in the diagrams. I was having to hold it on my head for the full 30 minutes. I re-watched the video and looked at the image and realized that the trick was to not only roll it just right, but the front tip part of the device needs to be pulled down over your forehead so it stays just above your eyes. Once I got the hang of it, then it stayed. But that does seem like an awful lot of maneuvering just to put something on your head. This did not pass the test as far as user friendliness. Most of the hair devices on the market are baseball caps and helmets that fit perfectly on your head. This is something you can't return at all, so you have to be extra sure you want this when taking the gamble. That's another fail since most hair device companies will give you at least 30 days to realize if this is for you or not. In fact, there are many on the market that give you up to 6 months to a year and you can still return it if you did not grow hair. They know that's about the time length before you realize if it's working or not. To an extent, I understand their strict policy as it's likely expensive to make these devices and it is a business loss if they get returns. However, I thought if this doesn't work for hair, then at least I can continue to use it for the face and joints, which it has settings for that. There were also no consumer reviewers out there anywhere on this Restore product when I bought it. There are no videos of other users talking about it. The company's videos and photos don't count as those are models. The reason I took the gamble is because I knew Estheticians swear by Celluma, but that's for the face. Celluma does make quality products in general. PROS The pros are that if hair growth doesn't seem to be evident for you, this device can still be used on the face as well as for joints or pain. I enjoyed using this for my face the first week, then I was using the hair setting for the head every other day per their instructions. This brand is well loved by Esthetician's that swear by it. It doesn't beep when the 30 minutes are up. I've used other devices and they beep all over the place. This one quietly shuts off, which is nice. You can use this for different parts of your body on the wrinkle or pain/joint setting like knees, shoulder, back, and yes even feet. This curves and bends to your liking. CONS Takes time maneuvering it a bit for a few minutes trying to get it to be placed perfectly on your head. The manual says the device only lasts 3 years. I was hoping it would be indefinitely. I'm also not sure how long this will hold up with all the bending, but they claim you can bend it. There should be a timer so you can set the timer for 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 minute intervals specifically for the face. You have to stay put as you can't walk around with it on as there is no battery device. It needs to be plugged in to work. There is no case or anything to store this device in to protect it, except maybe the large box it came in and a cheap plastic sleeve. The goggles are useless. The straps don't tie onto the goggles easily. Better quality goggles should be provided. I bought a separate pair. There is a no return policy period. You don't even have 30 days, nothing, nada. There is also no returning it within a year if you're not noticing any hair growth. This is something many other hair companies offer because they know it's not going to grow everyone's hair. In fact, there is no returning for a refund at all even if it's only been used once. So you have to be very careful before going for it. Don't even break the seal on the box or you can't return it. They're that strict. That's another fail on their part, but as mentioned I understand from a business perspective. This is costly for them and for you. Unfortunately, as you read at the start of the review that after 5 uses, I had to stop using this as it ended up causing extreme tension headaches for weeks. Understand that I may be the rare user that just happened to get that side effect. Headaches are a rare side effect when using hair LED devices. The odds of that being your experience may be super extremely slim. This is why I'm not poorly rating this and just giving it the safe in the middle range. Hopefully for the company, maybe they'll be more reviews from regular users offering their experience with this. Because as I said, Celluma does make quality products in general. I would recommend checking them out.

I bought this to help with my thinning hair. I’ve tried Rogain and other products to help stop the thinning and nothing has worked as well this! I can’t recommend it enough!

I would not purchase this product again. The plug in gets extremely hot and the device itself produces a lot of heat after just one use.

Yes, it's true - I look like an alien when this is on my head. I don't mind it, if it works. I have three friends who say it has helped them, so I'm confident that it will help me with hair thinning. I have used it in the pain setting on my newly replaced knee and the pain level has decreased. I'm excited about this device and feel good about it's effectiveness. And best of all, it's not complicated to use.
