We bought 2 of these gallon containers 9 months ago and have used them almost every single day since then. We make 2 gallons of tea at a time and store them in the fridge.. we only drink water and tea, so these containers get A LOT of constant use. They have held up incredibly well and still look new. These are really the best containers/jugs that we've ever had or used. I really love that the cap over the spout is a screw cap and that the lever arm that the cap is attached to locks back when you want to pour.. such a simple thing but it makes using these a nice experience. I've had prior jugs whose caps simply pushed/popped in and out of the lid, which meant there was never a good seal and liquid would always leak every time I'd make the liquid slosh a little too much. But the screw idea prevents that. And you don't have to worry about holding the cap&lever away from the spout when you want to pour. The lever arm locks back just by pushing it in that direction, and unlocks by pushing it the other way. The lever "locks" with just enough strength that it won't unlock on its own, but not so strong that you have to exert any force to get it unlocked. ("Lock" isn't a good word, think "secure" instead). Plus, the main lid has 4 little hinges (one on each side) and these lock down onto the container securely, like the more expensive tubberware-type lids do. So you only have to pop on and off the hinges and lift up on the lid (to remove) and set back down on the container and re-lock the hingers (to install). It's so much better than those lids where you have to pry off the whole thing at once and get droplets everywhere once it finally rips free (while tearing a nail in the process), and that you have to push down on hard onto the container and *hope* that you pushed the lid on enough that it's sealed, and then have to clean up the countertop because the force you used to cram the lid back on jerked the container and liquid spilled out. You know what I mean. This is miles above that cheap design. Seriously, the way they designed the entire lid is just great. I don't usually rave about products (mostly because they don't impress me like this ones does), and something like a gallon container seems like such an odd thing to go on about, but this one is worth it. I was worried about the seals when I purchased them, based on several comments where others had issues with them leaking. But we've never had any issues with the seals leaking. I even remove and wash the rubber seals every time the containers are washed (which is each new batch of tea.. so probably once every 2 weeks). You can easily pop the seals in and out of their little channels for cleaning. If you don't have good hand dexterity then you might have to use something to assist removal, like the corner of a credit card or something that won't scratch the plastic. The seals haven't cracked or hardened or done anything stupid in all that time; they're still pliable and look fine. The containers themselves are sturdy, hard plastic that seem well made - not at all like some of those sketchy cheaper ones where you can squeeze in the sides of the jug. And even though we store tea in them all the time the insides haven't discolored/stained (unlike our prior containers that these replaced. But to be fair we had those for many years so we can't compare the staining abilities.) The insides of the containers are really smooth, so there aren't any little tiny grooves that'll hold coloring or germs, and cleaning the main container portion is easy. My only tiny itty bitty little complaint is that the screw cap is attached to its lever arm in such a way that you can't clean between the cap and its attachment. It's difficult to explain. But there's a little recessed area above the recessed cap threads that can't be reached for cleaning. Being unable to remove the cap is great though when using the container (don't have to worry about setting down a cap somewhere or dropping it and having it roll away under the fridge or any such hassles you encounter with removable caps). But the downside is only partial access for cleaning. It's not like that upper recessed area should be getting dirty anyway, but I prefer that peace of mind knowing that I've thoroughly cleaned something and my kitchen items aren't little thriving petri dishes cultivating lord knows what. (We do have an issue here with pink bacteria that grows on surfaces that get wet - like our tub/shower - so I do worry about that or other stuffs growing in the upper recessed area of the cap.) Submerging the cap-lever in a little bowl of diluted bleach is the best I've been able to come up with so far.. would feel better if the area could be scrubbed. but oh well. I doubt most people would even notice it or care. It's really not that big of a deal, but if an upgraded version of these come out then I'd like to see a change there. All in all, the containers are great. TLDR: I'd definitely buy these again and highly recommend them.

This is a very well designed and made pitcher! I've used pitchers to hold tea in the refrigerator for years. My old one still works, but it's difficult to get the top on completely, causing it to leak a little. This LocknLock pitcher has 4 separate clamps on the lid, to securely lock down each side. In addition, it has a simple to use flip top lid that quickly opens, flips back and locks until you pour your beverage and close the lid in a couple of seconds. The pitcher is very thin, as you face the handle, so it fits in tight spaces in the fridge or elsewhere. (See my photo.) Most importantly, it never leaks a drop when you're filling, storing or pouring it. That is great, especially when you've tried to get by with a pitcher that does leak a little, leading to wiping leaks with paper towels or having to place a paper towel in the fridge to catch leaks. Believe me, you will be happy using this pitcher!
