Got a new basin installed & didn’t have these Sink Strainers. They fitted perfectly in the sinks and grabs all unnecessary stuffs to go down the drain. Very good quality & light in weight

The elevated part of the sieve stops the particles from getting collected in the pit, making it a little inconvenient to discard the collected particles.

I had the mesh screen ones and didn't really like them so I got these and they're way better. The mesh ones might stop a few more particles but these stop anything that is going to cause a problem down the road. One good thing is they're a little raised/ramped so if run the faucet away from the drain all the crumbs and stuff will get trapped. The mesh ones sit square so they seem to block stuff from going in, if you understand what I mean.

Easy to remove long hair from it, as it isn’t very deep and the material is slippery thus the hair doesn’t get stuck in the mesh.

While it fits in the sink hole, it slides out whenever you wash something in the sink or run the tap on full which is annoying.
