Valdearcos Professional Quality Moroccan Tagine - 27Cm - New

I was a bit nervous as I've never cooked with terracotta and one or two of the reviews mentioned cracking, but it's worked brilliantly. The important thing is to follow the instructions and soak it for 4 hours before using - and to remember that you need to allow the tagine to warm naturally in the oven, and to cool down without being plunged into cold water. The pot is big enough for 2-3 people depending on your appetite, and it also looks great. I've bought a second one as a present for my dad I like it that much.

Lovely tagine, holds lots of food, looks nice & takes the heat of a majmar/ fire without cracking. The first one I bought (as an addition to one I already had) sadly turned up broken. I contacted the seller, who was very apologetic, absolutely lovely & organised a replacement immediately. The replacement was sent wrapped up extremely well to ensure it didn’t break this time. Recommended.

I was really excited to get this tagine as I was looking for one that was not too heavy but still offered a decent sized pot. We followed the instructions to the letter - soaking it for more than 24 hours however we were really disappointed because it still cracked. What was more disappointing was that I wrote to the seller and asked for their advice and guidance on what we might have done wrong and I heard nothing. This has meant that I cannot return the item and get a refund because I was away when the return deadline passed. Very disappointed! If the customer service had been a little better and they had actually acknowledged my email I would have at least have reason to offer a better review.

I made a lamb tagine which tasted very good. Serving it from an attractive tagine added to the atmosphere of the meal. It made it feel more special.

Excellent product. I have bought Valdearcos products before because of their durability. I have had 2 prettier (and more expensive) tagine's from other sellers before and both of them have cracked after only a short period of use. This is a good size, very tough and does the job. Excellent value, reasonably priced and delivered well within the stated time frame. I would not hesitate to buy from Valdearcos again.

Bigger than expected which was a bonus, seems good quality 3 stars on durability only because not used it yet so happy to edit at a later date. No nooks and crannies so will be easy to clean. Has good instructions inside what to do before use to avoid cracking. Really pleased so far

The Tagine is of very good quality, it was sent to us very promptly, unfortunately the base was damaged on delivery, an email to the company was sent ,and a replacement was sent the next morning, now the best bit, the meat that was cooked in it was so tender, never before has meat been that good, we would highly recommend this product,and a good company to deal with.
