QTX QT Series Active 18" Bass Cab, 1000W

Bought 2 of these for £248 which as the other reviews say is the cheapest I could find anywhere. Was not expecting that much for the price but they are definitely worth the money. They go loud and deep, I have used them for 6 gigs(2 discos, 1 party, 3 events) since purchasing them they run perfectly with 15" tops and 8" stage monitors. Not the most controlled speaker and at volumes the cabinet can vibrate but that said I would buy them again, a very good sub for the few pennies required, ideal for a starting DJ.

This QTX 15" powered subwoofer has just arrived. Very impressed after first run. Bass is punchy and pervasive and the cab is one of the lightest I've found, with a dodgy back, I need. Given that lightweight, it may not stand the test of time, however at this price I would not complain. Very ipmressed with AVC service also. Incredibly prompt delivery. Recomeneded if you're looking for a good quality functional sub - that can be carried without breaking your back.

I bought two of these subs. The seller delivered them very swiftly but the quality (although not really the sellers fault) was atrocious. Both cabs had bits of the bracing rattling round inside - one had three pieces of the wooden support blocks unglued inside and one of the speaker wires wasn't soldered to the speaker, it was just left hanging inside the cab. By the looks of it it had never been soldered on at all. The other had the main bottom bracing strut and it's support blocks rattling around inside the cab. A 16"x2" piece of chipboard loose inside isn't really going to do it much good. I have no idea what the cabs sounded like as I repackaged them and had the seller arrange for a courier to pick them up, which they did very promptly. They are now winging their way back to the manufacturer for inspection before I can get a refund. They may be cheap but if they fall apart internally as soon as they leave the manufacturer how long will they last in everyday use? Buy cheap, buy twice.

Build quality seems pretty poor, on arrival I could hear rattling/ parts banging around. Opened and found some of the glued wooden frame had broken off. Kettle lead plug also broken on arrival. It works but it seems to have some minor rusting on the screws and some of the amp/ pcb. Haven’t had the chance to test it at full but for the price you could probably spend similar/ or a bit more on branded speakers.

BOUGHT THIS RECENTLY FOR A MOBILE DISCO, IT WORKS WELL FOR THE MONEY, THE ONLY DRAW BACK IS WHEN I TRIED TO USE THE POLE SOCKET TO HANG MY ACTIVE SPEAKER ON THE SCREWS HOLDING ON THE POLE SOCKET STARTED TO COME AWAY. SO IF YOU WANT LIKE ME TO DO THIS DONT BY. IF YOU DONT NEED TO USE THE POLE SYSTEM THEN THE SPEAKER IS FINE NOT HEAVY AND THROWS OUT A DECENT SOUND.

£150 for this Sub is cheap as chips, I've paired it with my Kam 300w pa both work well together, yes you can get better but not for the price. 🙂 Happy customer

Used for a small family function in a hall. Deep and heavy bass. Very good purchase.
