While they offer impressive light-blocking performance, there are a few minor limitations to consider. First and foremost, these light blockers are designed to create blackout strips on both sides of the blinds, making them particularly well-suited for bedrooms and nurseries. The 58.5" length and 2-piece set provide ample coverage for most window sizes, ensuring maximum light reduction and privacy. The installation process was straightforward, and the side tracks fit snugly against the blinds, effectively blocking out external light sources. I have noticed a significant reduction in the amount of light that enters the room, which has greatly improved the overall ambiance, especially during daytime naps and nighttime sleep. Additionally, the PVC material used in these light blockers is sturdy and durable, ensuring long-lasting performance. The quality construction gives me confidence that they will withstand daily use without wearing out or losing their effectiveness. It's not 100% light-blocking which is a bummer. Still worth it!

Works well and easy to install

Functionality: I have inside mount black-out shades that were letting in too much light on the sides in the morning, these did the trick to block a good portion of the light streaming through the sides and now I don't wake up with the sun. Look: Matches the shade valance very well. Adhesive quality: Adhered immediately to the window, does not appear to be going anywhere for a long while.

These things work! Day sleeper in the house and these helped block the light completely! They have held up after 2 years. If you need a dark room and have roller blinds, you need these!

I was so excited to use these above my windows to block the sun. Unfortunately didn’t work..even more unfortunate it peeled the paint off the wall. Thankfully could still return and get a refund.

Not useful on bullnose corners

TLDR: The product works great for blocking out light at the edges of my blinds by my bed. The adhesive is very strong. I needed them to be a bit shorter, and I was able to cut them down with some pliers and sandpaper (not ideal tools for the job, but it’s all I had, and it turned out fine). A few things to consider: These strips are made of hard plastic, and have no flexibility at all. They are very sturdy. The adhesive on the back is thin—not thick like foam adhesive tape. The edges of my window are uneven plaster, so the liners and the edge of the window are not perfectly joined together. The small gaps between the surfaces are not enough to let a noticeable amount of light in, but I think this product would adhere better with a foam tape which could accommodate the small dips in the plaster of the walls framing my window. They would likely adhere better as-is on acrylic or wood window frames or molding without these imperfections. I have pull-down faux wood blinds, so I have to be extra careful to pull them straight down to avoid them hitting the liners on either side. This would not be an issue with blinds that have a cord for raising/lowering them.

We bought these to use with our blackout blind in our bedroom. My husband is a shift worker and we like to sleep so we want our room as dark as possible. We bought multiples and cut them using an X-Acto knife. They stick great and we used them on all three sides. Would highly recommend. They cost way less than getting custom blackout blinds.
