All the Little Raindrops
Very good story. It was written well and I loved how the characters fit so well. The mystery was surprisingly well hid until the end and I enjoyed trying to figure it out with the characters.

Very well written but hard on the emotional strings
Very well written. Author has a wonderful way of transporting you into the story. Detailed but not so much that you are bogged down and wanting to skip over. Cuss words.. amazingly clean. The story itself...riveting, hits every emotional string. Be prepared for a very tuff subject. I will be reading another book by this author.

Difficult subject matter, but oh so good
Well, DANG!! Please heed any content and trigger warnings on this one because it's a thriller and it's dark and contains content that will be a no go for many. But with that....WOW!! I couldn't stop reading/listening to this one and want to know what goes on in the mind of sweet Mia Sheridan. ;)I was first drawn to All the Little Raindrops from the author herself. I love her romances, but I also like her dark side. Next was the cover that I found absolutely stunning. BUT, then you open the pages, or in my case start the audio....that's where the beauty ends. You are thrown into a story that I would call Hunger Games, trafficking style. It is brutal and horrendous and left me with my jaw open. Told in multiple POVs we follow Noelle and Evan as they are kidnapped and held against their will in cages and forced to make horrible decisions in order to survive what is being thrown upon them. But why were these teenagers taken and what could it mean that they are two people that have had a past that was already connected?Ms Sheridan immediately dropped us into storm and then took us into a darkness that even I couldn't fathom. She crafted it in such a way that we not only got to experience the trauma, but we also got to be there for the resilience these characters held. From their trauma came a bond. A reverse Stockholm syndrome, if you will. After an intense escape, Sheridan provided us with a journey that spanned years and with that came a story of survival, PTSD and searching for answers. This is a story that immediately pulled me in and didn't let me go until the very end. The narrators captured the complete essence of the characters and the story. I have to wonder if they are all right after their performances of this brutal journey of two people that found a connection within the dark. I liked how the author sprinkled clues throughout and still held enough back to make me wonder how everything was going to come together in the end. This wasn't just a story about Noelle and Evan, but about a past that was equally disturbing. Although this was a thriller, we do get some romance, but that was never at the forefront. I'm glad we got something that held a little bit of light within the dark.Overall, this was a great psychological thriller that was executed well. From the plot, to the characters, to the span in timeline, Sheridan proves to up her game each time she dives into the thriller genre. Highly recommend if you can stomach it. And if you're an audio listener, the narrators brought this story to life with their cinematic performances.

I don't really know how to explain this.
This book was both exciting and boring at the same time. When I got to about 50% I had to put it down for awhile because I just could not bring myself to care what was happening. I hate to DNF so after a few days I went back to it. I opted for the audio version that came free with Kindle Unlimited and that was painful but also the only possible way for me to keep going. (Because I can do other stuff while listening) The story itself is good but there is so much fluff it's hard to care about the rest. If you enjoy romance more than thriller this is probably more your speed. Also if the phrase "she let out a breath" or "he sucked in a breath" gets on your nerves don't bother with this one because one or both is on every single page. But other than that it was a pretty good story.

Well written mystery with a love story attached. Lots of twists and turns. The author did a beautiful job of tying everything together for a surprise ending.

The sins of there fathers
Someone is collecting people and putting them in cages. Taken from their homes and rented by wealthy men. Noelle and Evan were eighteen years old when they found themselves in a dark room living inside a cage. Caged next to the enemy. They knew each other. His father killed her mother. Rather than suffer for the crimes of his father they worked together. They found themselves part of organized crime.…The first part of the story is dark and twisted focusing on the survival of Noelle and Evan. It was an interesting read. There’s fear and uncertainty about why they were taken. It’s creepy and horrifying given they don’t understand what is happening. To call this a dark story requires digging deep into the psychological depths of what is happening to each of them and the toll it’s taking on there bodies. There’s more at play than just two people connecting by trauma.…It’s designed to read as a puzzle to solve. This read gave me Saw movie vibes. The Collector, The Players, and The Viewers. The unknown has become a deliciously wicked game. This was a puzzle worth completing. The tangled clues were difficult to decipher. It’s a tongue twister.…The story takes a turn in part two after they escape and try to rebuild their lives as free people. As was stated before more is at stake than them being abducted to live in cages and rented. Something far more sinister is at play. It’s a multilayered story embodying romance, mystery, trauma bond, secrets, and crime of passion. I enjoy blended stories combining various genres into one especially uniting the dark thriller genre with a lighter softer romance. Mia Sheridan writes a compelling dark story about two eighteen year old bonded together by trauma. That link ties them back to their fathers.…The narrators is comprised of multiple voice actors all bringing this story to life in a way that had me pleased. I’m an eyes and ears person who enjoys following along with the ebook. Having these talented voices in my ears was a great experience. I’ve grown to appreciate audiobooks especially when it’s a thriller or mystery. It’s second best to watching a movie.

Phenomenal
The characters had so many ups and downs. The tragedy of an unbeknownst love story with thrillers and chills. It was an amazing storyline. You see the ending, without too much being given away and are yet still pleasantly surprised by how it turns out. Amazing book!

Wow!! Not for the faint hearted- I wasn’t the same after reading this book 😮
TW- ⚠️rape/ sexual assault ⚠️, ⚠️torture (like in the horror movie Saw) ⚠️human trafficking. ⚠️I almost DNF’d this book twice because within the first 100 pages there are multiple mentions of a character being raped - which I didn’t enjoy and made me feel uncomfortable 🫣😭. This is also insinuated one more time during the book too as we as frequent mentions of torture. Wow!!! What a thriller - im so glad I stuck with the book and didn’t DNF it as it was amazing and like no other thriller I’ve read before ⭐️. Even though towards the end I guessed what was happening - The way the authors mind works left me shocked. 🤯 not to mention that last chapter😢.It was only the authors writing style that kept me hooked and wanting to find out what happened to the characters. From the very first page you are sucked into the story. Even though I found the subject the author wrote about harrowing I did find her writing/ storytelling engaging and very clever 👍. If it wasn’t for this I would have stopped reading it’s like that saying ‘it’s like a car crash you really should look away from but you can’t stop looking ’.I did like how as the story progressed the kidnappers changed their tactics based on what had happened in previous chapters. It gave the story a good sense of realism. It’s scary to think how the storyline in this book could easily be happening in real life 😱😢

An absolutely poignant tale of human grit & courage interspersed with the dark alleys of human mind
Sometimes you read books and sometimes you read a story that intrigues you from the start and connects its characters to your heart. The book is a dark thriller that shakes your core taking you through the dark alleys of human mind. Mia’s protagonists Novelle and Evan are both vulnerable and courageous, scared yet hopeful and must come together to confront the events from their past.Novelle and Evan are teenagers, poles apart from each other with a past that has shattered their respective families. But when Novelle finds herself caged, little did she know that Evan will be placed beside her in a cage. Together, they must endure to protect each other and escape as a whole! Year later when Evan finds about a similar crime, he reaches out to Novelle in investigating their abduction and escape.Emotions are unveiled, the scars are revisited and a twisted, dark side of the world we live in is revealed. This story is about the enduring power of human spirit while showcasing plunging into a horrific-expectations and emotions of human mind. The author Mia Sheridan has come strong with her writing, with a tight-captivating plot, brilliant characters each having their moments to shine through the book. By far, this is one of the most unique and gripping plot I have read in 2023 and any amount of appreciation can fall short for this book!!!I absolutely loved it!!!

A heartbreakingly beautiful romantic thriller
✨ He craved her. He needed the solace only she offered. ✨I’m in complete awe. All the Little Raindrops was unexpected in the most powerful and beautiful way.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“To those who have crawled from wreckage and refused to live a meek life in the aftermath”Little did I know the dedication serves a strong message for Evan and Noelle.Heartbreaking. Brutal. Beautiful. A raw combination of all three that will leave you in such a surreal state. All the Little Raindrops is a heart-wrenching but beautiful romantic thriller that will pull your heartstrings and make you connect with Evan and Noelle. Surrounded by mystery, the harrowing journey of Evan and Noelle speaks to the strength of human connection. While broken, Evan and Noelle prove that even in the darkest of times, hope and empathy fuel resilience.“She was all that he saw. He loved that night only in the present, and it helped patch together his wounded soul.”My heart weeped for Evan and Noelle, so deeply. But, what I love most about Mia’s writing is just how unique and brutally powerful her stories are. Evan and Noelle are wounded warriors, coming through their most heartbreaking and unspeakable battles with more than their emotional and physical traumas, with a connection to each other that nothing can break. After reading this, I’m left raw. Full of all the emotions. I’m awe of Mia’s writing, Evan and Noelle.Dark and harrowing, All the Little Raindrops serves as a reminder that love conquers even the darkest of experiences. All the Little Raindrops is stunning and brutal story of survival, connection, refuge. A standout read for this year.Due to the content, I’d highly recommend checking CW and TW.

so beautifully sick and twisted
Rating: 4.5Genre: Thriller, Dark mystery, romantic suspenseTwo things before the review: One, thanks to Amazon First Reads for this amazing title. I didn't get to finish it before it was published but I am still so glad to have been introduced to it. Second, please consider/read all the trigger warnings for this book!I don't have much to say because I think everyone should just read it and experience it for themselves, but seriously this book was sooooo sick and twisted and I can't even say in a really good way. It was more of in a really real way (which sometimes caused my heart to hurt) and the story was so intriguing through every moment.Well maybe not actually, because the only reason I docked it by 0.5 is because there was a little chunk in the middle where both the MCs were really recovering and healing and it was absolutely necessary to the story but compared to the rest of the action based story, it felt dull.
