Extremely stable and strong I like it most on grass or dirt with spikes down in the ground ladder absolutely won’t kick out. Works good on hard concrete as well. When weight is bearing down on the base it becomes very slip resistant but for additional safety I also add a pair of industrial strength suction cups I also bought on amazon as well to further prevent any possibility of kick out on smooth concrete or tile floors, in other words the ladder can’t possibly slide backwards causing a fall which I once had sending me to the hospital. Now I’m super careful and feel totally safe. The extra 30-60 seconds it takes to be safe costs nothing but can save weeks of lost work time plus the pain and humiliation of falling off a ladder. Might even save your life. Once knew a guy who fell from just a 6 foot ladder and died from a head injury on a hard floor.

I live in a loft with very high ceilings. One of the main reasons I hire a painter is because I feel shaky on a ladder and do not do the best job managing the paint and myself in high places. With ladder lock down I felt secure. Moved the ladder less as I felt stable enough to lean in any direction. It is also easy to move the ladder from place to place with the lockdown attached. I am now much more prone to take on painting myself-- a big savings. I can imagine this advantage is magnified in outdoor spaces such as grass with the staples inserted. I use it to change light bulbs too. Easy to attach; easy to remove; stores nicely in a closet with the ladder and takes up very little room. It also protects my hardwood floors from being scratched by the ladders feet which is a nice perk.

This little thing is just amazing! I had the opportunity to see this product during a demonstration and I thought It could be useful for my window cleaning business so I ordered it out of curiosity. All I can say is wow! I used it for the first time inside a home placed on a hardwood floor without the risk of causing any scratches on it. my 24' ladder was so stable and secured that I did not need a second person holding the ladder for me . this product not only makes my job safer but it also saves me money on labor. A most have little artifact for any type of contractor or service provider who depends on the use of ladders.

Sooooo relieved for the peace of mind the Ladder Lockdown has provided for our family. I have always been terrified when my husband goes on a ladder. i have a 25 foot fiberglass with rotating thick teeth footing. However, i was sold on this watching the video. Yes it makes sense to have a level footing and tie down, but if you are moving up down and relocating for painting it is a pain. Plus the rubber gripping pad wore out after 15 minutes. I tossed it after one hour and returned to using the teeth end of the footing and was perfectly fine. What a waste

A couple of years ago my ladder slipped. I was in intensive care for 4 days. Four broken ribs and a punctures lung. My wife took my ladder keys and I can no longer drive the ladder without a ladder buddy. This device works great and my wife approves.

Seemed good, but the bottom of our ladder is too wide to use this, by just a couple inches. Very unfortunate because my husband was excited when he opened this on Christmas.
